Just some stuff :)

I am beat, having worked non stop for 2 days on estate stuff.  Just when I think it is done something comes along.  I have an ace up my sleeve and just might get it done this week.

Used the stroller today for Carmeh’s walk but she did walk some.  Good news is that she is walking straighter today.

Photo of my parents year back, thanks to my brother.

Very cute photo sent to me by a reader. Looks to be a real setting with real doxies.

Trying to decide if I should bring the window washer back. We are only here another 10 weeks but they could us a wash or could they?

Saw this on a walk the other day. I like ot.

Well we are still smoked in and it seems we will be until late Saturday when some rain is finally expected.  Meanwhile Colin is cooling his heels.  Not really, he is getting things done like the RV generator annual servicing and hopefully he will build some dog ramps for the RV this weekend. He heard on the radio today that our air quality is worse than Delhi, India.  We’ve been there and that is saying something.

One lovely evening a few weeks back.

That same evening but taken on the street side of our home. The tree on the left is in our old yard. Yup, that is the tree we brought in on a semi from Vancouver. So lucky that I get to see it every day.

Don’t even want to think about the loonie hitting an 11 year low.  For my US readers that means that every US dollar we spend this winter is going to cost us close to $1.30 CAD 🙁

Thanks for stopping in.  I really appreciate it as well as a comment when you have a moment.  Have a great evening where ever you are.

Beautiful park. We really enjoyed our time there, it truly is a resort. Our spot is unforgettable. 🙂

I know you enjoyed your time here and we hope that one day you might get back here. We were fortunate last year to see you both at our home here in Canada and at our home in Mexico.

Just want to say that I’m here in the cheering section waving the pompoms at you as you deal with the estate stuff. If anyone can do it, you can!

I am making a fortune on our plummeting dollar because I get paid in USD. I have a large outstanding client invoice that gets more valuable every day. I just looked at the CAD to MXN exchange rate and we’ll do very well in Mexico if the trend continues. My rent averaged 450CAD per month last year and right now I’d pay 424CAD.

Thanks Rae! I appreciate the cheers and vote of confidence. Sadly our rent on the Isla has to be paid in USD so that is a huge loss for us but at least the rest of the winter won’t be too bad food and entertainment wise. We do have the option of converting the USD into pesos but that is loco. Happy for you that you are raking in those dollars.

Noticed the gas prices tonight here in the nations capital……..down to 98.9. Haven’t seen it that low for a long time. Now if the US rate would just improve……

Good luck with your estate issues.

Hey Ruth, thanks for your input. Here in Kelowna we finally went down to 130.9 per litre today. I read somewhere that in St. Catherines, Ontario there was a gas war and it got down to 80.2 per litre and when the regular sold out they sold the Supreme for the same price. Wish we had our vehicles there.

  4. One day at a time and your will get there, just keep plugging away.

What a lovely way to start my day – your post covers all bases – Truth, Humor, True Love, and one of God’s Gifts (beautiful scenery). Thank you!

I have been following your blog for quite awhile but have never commented.

I have a cute picture to share with you, but don’t see any way to attach it here.

Send me an email and I will email the pic to you. 🙂

Hi Contessa, love the “note to self” – I intend to jump in the ocean more when we are next in Mazatlan and wear a bathing suit to do so! 😉 We always walk in the sun but never jump in the ocean much but will change – thanks for sharing.

    • Contessa says:

Hola Sandy! I also say I will jump in when I see others from the RV park going in, but later, just not right now, and later never comes. Now that I have 2 new hips there is no excuse. I’ll be joining you.
