I haven’t been editing my photos and found this in my camera today. Taken while Jannose and Colin were here last weekend. I can’t believe it has only been a week since they left.
We enjoyed the geese that afternoon.
While the girls absorbed the heat of the patio.
A few days later we had a business appointment in town. I may have posted this piece of art before but I really like it.
The leaves have started to turn but the flowers throughout the park are spectacular. Most of the flowers in the park are maintained by volunteers.
The gazebo in behind has a chess board floor. You can check out a hand carved 3 -4 foot chess set and play a game right there. The chess pieces were carved by volunteers who love to do wood carving.
We were gifted this huge ( my sunglasses for size) what we thought was a zucchinni. Well it still might be and I had planned to ask you what to do with it. But last night we cut into it and it seemed more like a squash and we put it on the BBQ. Yum! Could it be a large overgrown zucchini that tastes like squash??
Remember a few post back when I was concerned about El Nino and how it would affect our coming winter? A reader who is actually coming to the Isla for a bit sent me this. He did a ton of research and I for one am happy that he did. Gracias, Michael.
I also saw this online and it may be of help with mosquitoes. Have any of you used this formula before?
Who doesn’t like a diamond? 🙂
I took this shot last week, it reminds me of a serpent about to feed.
What does it look like to you?

A moray eel and a shrimp.
I am that piece of charcoal.
I too love those geese.
Your home is awesome!
Cheers!
I always love your comments. A piece of charcoal into a diamond I agree with but a shrimp!!!
Exceptional photos today. Each one speaks to me in a different way, but the first one takes me there! (and makes me thirsty.) 😉 Very nice…
Nice to hear from you as I know you are busy traveling Colorado and hiking all those mountains 🙂 Of course the first one resonates with you, as well as me mi amiga.
It’s a dog running to the left with his ears blowing in the breeze.
Now there’s a thought.
Loved all your pics today. …I copied your mozzie receipe. ..we are coming on Summer, and boy do they attack us at dusk….I am going to mix it up. …sure the dog will love a mozzie free deck as well….
Love. love the Aussie word ” mozzies “. Please let us know if it works.
Zucchini being a (summer) squash, I’m guessing you got a particularly mature/dry one.
That is fantastic news about the possible weather on Isla this winter. Hot and sunny sounds good to me!
I love your last pic. I not only see a serpent, but a witch on a broomstick flying into its mouth!
I’m intrigued by the mosquito repellent, but can’t imagine ever having stale beer lying around. 😀
It looks like a zucchini but tastes much more mature which is a treat. So looking forward to a great winter on the Isla.
A whale about to eat a fisherman!
Such vivid imaginations we all have.
How/where do you get stale beers? 🙂 Every time I open a beer the bottle empties before it can go flat.
rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
You do have a problem then. Better stay away form the mozzies.
Beautiful home you have !
Thank you Lucy. Pretty amazing for an RV Park.
It surely is an amazing place, love your back yard with lake views, it beats the heck of the dry environment I live in ( Southern California ). Do you guys get thick snow falls in the lake area, or just a little ‘ sprinkling ‘ only ???
My regards, Lucy.
This particular area of the Okanagan gets very little heavy snow and it varies year by year. Mostly the snow falls and it is gone in a week. It does get cold here and dark and gray and that is why we travel south. We do have to blow out our pipes as the lines will freeze otherwise. When we first started to RV it was to the Pismo Beach area of California but we soon learned that even there was not warm enough for us nor was Arizona and soon we headed south to Mexico. We do spend 7 – 10 days in the southern US both coming and going. Normally we leave here about Oct 21- 23 but last year we were delayed as I was with my sick father at his bedside and we only left on the US Thanksgiving. The day before we left we were greeted with snow. http://www.contessajewall.com/oldblog/2014/11/26/unexpected-winter-wonderland/ It did melt the morning we left and came back 2 days later. We were very fortunate.
are those tall pink and yellow flowers Dahlias?
Yes they are and they are amazing. Nice to hear from you. Looking forward to seeing you on the beach in a few months.
I arrive nov 04th.
