The latest….

Colin did leave this morning for Vancouver but only at 5AM.  Yes, of course it was clouded in when he arrived so he sat at the terminal and reviewed the areas he needed to photograph.  Meanwhile the clouds  began to move and to burn off.  So he and the helicopter pilot started off in one area and moved to the next clear area and so on and somehow he did get the job completed, area by area.  I keep telling him that he has horseshoes up his you know where   He is home now as I type this and sitting in the tub warming up.  It was cold up there and he had on three jackets.  Usually he does these aerials in early summer.  He even used his seat heater in the car all the way home, 4 hours of driving.

Got this shot of the moon last night as it came up over the hill Nowhere as nice as Al of the Bayfield Bunch will have on his blog nor as wonderful as what Colin can do. But then they have high end cameras and lenses.

Got this shot of the moon last night as it came up over the hill, way over exposed.  Nowhere as nice as Al of the Bayfield Bunch will have on his blog nor as wonderful as what Colin can do. But then they have high end cameras and lenses.

This tree is at the end of our street ( non lake side ) and I love it. It shows such color over the next few weeks as it goes through it's changes.

This tree is at the end of our street ( non lakeside ) and I love it. It will show much color over the next few weeks as it goes through it’s changes.  This was taken first thing this morning. The color on the hills is also interesting.

The best news of the day is that I saw the beaver swimming past our site.  We do have a resident beaver but it is not easy to spot him.  I think this is the second time this year but it even might be the first.  By the time I ran to get my camera he had dove under the water and was long out of site.  But still so wonderful to spot him doing a leisurely swim.

My plan today was to go through my 6 inch pile of paperwork re Mexico ( lists from over the years ) and make my to do plans for our trip to Mexico this winter.  First however I had to deal with  a computer crisis 😥  Late evening yesterday my computer was slow and I kept quitting Firefox and restarting it.  I was tired and just wanted to read this one article on Mexico.  The computer must have got tired of me and gave me a choice to click on and I chose the wrong button.  I ended up deleting my entire Firefox including all my bookmarks, as in banking, blogs, basically things I can’t live without 😯

I contacted Rae who is my computer guru on the Isla, as we both deal with the Mac system.  We were both tired and decided to wait until this morning to tackle the situation.  Long story short, after 5 hours of her instructing and me doing what she said, it finally worked.  Lots of cliff hangers in between.  I can’t thank her enough and she has her choice of fun things to enjoy on the Isla compliments of me.  Mille gracias Rae.  You are the best of the best 🙂

this is the same tree but at the end of the day and with different lighteng

Love those fall colors – hate computer problems.

I wouldn’t call it a crisis, since you’re on a Mac and are a smart cookie who uses Time Machine. If you were on a PC without those hourly backups, you would have been hurting.

Well for you, the computer guru it was not a crisis but for me it was a major event. As ia have mentioned many times before, milles gracias mi amiga.

  3. The colors are just starting here.
