Appreciation evening
Two nights ago our financial advisor had an appreciation evening for his clients. We have only been with him for a year and a half and we are so happy to have made the change.
It was my first time here and there were some beautiful grounds and fountains surrounding the dinner area but it was too dark to get any good photos. Colin had come to a similar evening last October while I was in Edmonton with my father.
Dinner was a buffet with what I assume was a lovely piece of beef that was hand carved for each guest. Despite the fact that we don’t eat meat we still found plenty of other foods to fill us. Such a variety of tastes and textures. The wine never stopped. It was a fun date with my husband even though he was driving and didn’t partake in the vino.
We don’t get out much and as this was at the crux of our busy time it made the evening even more special. We certainly appreciated it.

It is rather suspicious that you won the bottle of wine. 😉 😉
Sounds like you had a lovely night! Glad you also have a good financial advisor.
It was a win win evening. Somehow they knew to give me a bottle of blanco.
You won a bottle of wine???
Maybe you can donate it to the Jesuits…..
Smiley -Face—::)….
Upriver
The Jesuits???
Gotta love those appreciation meals, our advisor has been treating us for over 20 years as well as getting great returns on our funds, allowing us to begin this lifestyle at a relatively young age. Heading into our 10th year on the road.
Always nice to find someone you can work with.
It looks scrumptious plus neither of you had to cook! Nice win on the wine, perfect for you.
The entire evening was a plus for us. A great night out at no expense to us.
The meal and wine is a nice “touch” by the financial advisor.
Who paid for all that meal and wine?
Rob, our financial adviser footed the bill. I would surmise, a company write off. Gosh I couldn’t drink all the wine that was offered. Nice touch.
The dessert looks almost as fetching as you, Contessa. Wondering if that was some sort of pecan pie?
I’m glad you had such a good time. I have to say you look “stunning” in your photo – it’s one of the best shots I’ve ever seen!
