Tuna season is about over and the boats are coming in. The tall one is waiting to come in. Lots of shrimp boats out there at times, today none as I write this.
Just to show it’s not all work, we headed out to the monthly spaghetti dinner at one of the hotels on Tuesday. The main attraction is the 2 for 1 happy hour. I was good and stuck with wine. I had to walk home down the beach in the dark 🙂
On our beach walk Wednesday morning we saw this huge dog barking and nipping at the horses. The driver finally stopped as one horse stumbled. The dog owner is in the white shirt and he did not seem at all concerned and took his sweet time ‘trying’ to catch his dog. The dog is huge and weighs 175 lbs. His owner wants to head further south to Ecuador but can’t find an airline willing to take the dog.
Nice to see that this fellow is still here.
I’ve seen this team a few times. They are pulled by the ATV and go up and down the beach looking for fish along the horizon, they stop and put out their net. There are three of them, you can just make out the driver’s arm.
Next it was time to go pick up our laundry from Alfredo. I went along for the ride to say hello. He is becoming more serious about learning English and now has a tutor.
Lovely to see two large cruise ships in port. There should be between 3 -4 ships in port each week. However with it being US Thanksgiving there are many more this week and next.
Lots of extra beach activity at the moment. Not sure how he found his way in but this horse did have trouble finding his way out. He was very happy to be free as he cantered up the beach.  Yes the netting is new this year. Is it always put up during semena santa to keep the hordes out of this park. I guess they often leave it up over the summer and it looks like it is going to stay up this winter. Personally I don’t like it, but in in all honesty it really does not affect the view.
Sunset on Wednesday started off just like any other sunset, nice.
Then it blossomed. The Crown Princess, the first ship heading out.
…followed by the Norwegian Jewel. The sky kept changing color.
Until finally we were all looking at a work of art.

Really looks inviting. I got an email from David. Hmm . . .
Of course it looks inviting, it is paradise 🙂
Why ever would David email you? I do think that Tres Amigos is a tad worried about the low turnout this winter.
Beautiful pictures. You get to see a horse pulling a cart and a cruise ship worth billions of dollars all in one afternoon.
What a great thought Sally and so very true.
Postcard perfect sunset!
It certainly was. It has to be one of the top ten in my life.
Beautiful, beautiful!!
I can only agree.
Gotta love those sunsets.
That is a huge part of the attraction as well as being on the beach.
Another fun day an awesome sunset.
It is a very special place as you found out 7 years ago when you visited.
