We are back on the Isla
Because of expected large rainfall today we decided to return ASAP just in case the road became impassable. The first 2-3 miles were a challenge but by driving slowly we managed it with no problems.
Lots to report and blog about but frankly we are beyond exhausted.
We are not in our site as it is underwater, one of, if not the lowest point in the park. There was no further precipitation to speak about so I declare the road safe to travel if you go slow.

Whew!
Glad you are back in Mazatlan!
That prior picture of the surf was wild!! So glad you got out of there and are now back, but safe and sound… always better to not err and be safe…. had an exciting couple of hectic days…. can this happen again or is this unusual….??
Thanks for the update. Glad you’re okay and that I can get home tomorrow!
Welcome back to the Isla soon you can get setup again and relax.
Happy to hear the update and know you are safe.
Glad the storm fizzled out and didn’t damage Mazatlan. Take care.

Glad you are back. Sorry to hear your site is flooded and all the extra work ahead for you. Hope after you get resettled that the rest of the year will be uneventful, except for fun, relaxation and vino!!!
Millie and I have been watching your progress, glad you’re back on the isla. Hope it doesn’t take too long for the water to go down. Just keep thinking it’s not below 0 F there.
Nice to see you are almost home. Wish I could be there to help you and Colin put things back together, take the pups for a beach walk and then just chill with a glass of wine. 😉
