Perhaps the final ‘Que Pasa’ of 2015
It has been a busy last few days. Tic toc, the clock keeps pushing on towards the end of 2015 and yet there is still so much to do and enjoy.
They girls keep enjoying the sun and heat although this morning we had to carry Carmeh back from our beach walk as she was limping. She just may have jumped off the bed this morning…..so difficult to contain her. As of this writing she is still going up and down the ramps but seems tired and fragile and is sleeping most of the day.
Sunday the 27th it was extremely cool and windy. I wore jeans and a jacket. We are still experiencing a cold front with highs of only 80F. The girls ears were flipped back because of the wind. We had to wait till low tide to walk or they would have got sand blowing in their faces.
Carmeh and I enjoyed some quality time together out of the wind in the protection of our palapa.
The sunset was lovely.
Sadly it was also our last happy hour with Mike as he was moving on the next day…wandering on you might say.
Earlier in the day he, Juan and Chris had paid a visit to the Beer Company in Mazatlan. They brought back the empties to show us what they had sampled. Double chocolate stout! Love the labels. The two on the right are for Colin and I to sample. We are saving them for a warmer day. Thanks Mike.
We spent Monday the 28th watching all the families enjoying the beach.
The start of yet another special sunset.
Off into the sunset sailed Mike on the Baja Ferry. Have a good time over there Mike. We miss you already.
Turns out that it was a spectacular sunset.

Photographed exactly as Mother Nature painted the sky, no enhancements whatsoever.
One the families I had watched all afternoon, enjoying the beach, moved closer to our wall after sunset. It was obvious that were staying for a long while. They had tables and chairs and hampers of food with them. They set up on the corner of our site where the security light remained in the on position giving them lots of light. That was fine with us but we decided to shut off our outdoor lights to keep our area private. Later we were watching a taped Christmas movie on TV when Colin saw flashlights beaming up and down on the other side of our wall along the dirt road. He jumped up to check it out. Turns out that our family was cutting the palm fronds to use as fuel for the rather large bonfire they had going. It was very close to us with sparks flying our way. We became most concerned because just one spark could ignite our palapa, then our RV and all the other RV’s.
Here we have our night security ( we turned the lights back on ) explaining the danger to them and asking them to move further away and closer to the water which they did. They had already put some sand on the flames by the time I took this photo.
Yesterday was a quiet day and I actually read an entire book. Joy 😎 We along with Chris and Juan headed out to Miguels for dinner last night and then sat by the fire for a final nightcap.
So much for the que pasa of the last few days. We certainly are enjoying the end of this year. More to come….

Thank you for the kind words Contessa. The sunset was indeed so very nice that night. But my pictures are nowhere near the quality of yours. I do hope you enjoy the beers that Juan, Chris and I picked out.
Happy New Year. Scooter’s back leg slipped on her the other day so she’s also taking it easy. She also has an ear infection but both are starting to get better. So hopefully 2016 will be a great year for all our girls.
