The last post of 2015

What a year it has been what with my Father passing and Carmeh becoming paralysed.  Fortunately she recovered and here we are once again enjoying our life here in paradise.  Even better we are surrounded by many friends.  Carmeh did well on our final beach walk of the year but Colin did a mix of letting her walk and carrying her.

I forgot to mention that we had a scheduled power outage last Tuesday, the 29th. Chirs was kind enough to set up his generator so those who wanted it could have internet.

We also had a visit from Eric our RV tech repair guy. We are now caught up on everything but one huge job which will be dealt with in January.

We woke up to come campers just up the beach from us.

It also appeared that we wold be treated to yet another wedding last night....we were.

It was a small quiet affair with a table of homemade toys as part of the decor.

NO sunset to speak of last evening but the two cruise ships still sailed.

No sunset to speak of last evening but the two cruise ships still sailed.  The sky has remained overcast all of today.

Chris and Juan joined us for dinner last evening. Hard to believe that they are leaving very soon.

Shortly after they left I put something in a cupboard which caused a photo to fall which caused me to jiggle a strand of Xmas lights as I bent to retrieve it. That in turn knocked my grandmothers fragile glass ornament to fall and break.

That in turn knocked my grandmothers fragile glass ornament to fall and break.  I’m still hanging it with the good side showing.  Not sure if it will survive storage in my Christmas box.

We then went for a wee stroll to check on the wedding. I liked how they added the lights. It was a quiet evening until midnight when a band showed up but even they were low keyed. It didn't bother us at all.

Having a quiet afternoon.  Colin and I are about to head up the beach for a snack and a margarita for me.  Tonight the boys and us are heading into the big city to celebrate the New Year.  Wishing you all a special last day and evening as you end 2015.  May 2016 be a time of health for you all as well as a time to do something new, possibly something fun or an adventure, something to add to your memories.  Let the New Year be all that you want it to.

Happy New Year, hope you had fun in town. We walked into the Jardin about 11 last night. It was packed, we found a nice doorstep to sit on watch the festivities and listen to a good band. At midnight it was a blast with sparklers and beautiful fireworks. Everybody was well behaved and having a happy time. We are so glad we went. We marvelled at the police horses that remain so calm during the festivities. It was a fun walk home with loads of other people out in the streets setting of firecrackers and fireworks.
A happy evening was had by all. We went to bed at 1:30 am and we were the early ones!!!
Peter has put up a little blog about it.
