Just a bit of Carnaval for you
Mazatlan is very big into Carnaval this weekend. Yesterday was the big naval combat and fireworks display. Today is the first parade. Colin and I have seen both over the years and have chosen to stay here quietly on the Isla this year. We do still hear the deep bass of the banda music every night until the wee hours of the morning, all the way over the shipping channel from Olas Altas where things are hopping.
For certain there is a large group of RVers devoting themselves to the big game today. We have several folks here from Colorado 😀
The following link will take you to the local Noreste-TV Facebook page where you can view a very short, less than 2 minute video of last nights spectacular fireworks display. At about the midway mark you will see fireworks coming out of the ocean, quite incredible.

Colin and I did go into Mazatlan for several hours on the town Friday night. Photos of that soon 😉 Internet too slow to load my photos.

The folks from the caravan have been having a Super Bowl get together too, with a potluck of appetizers and sweets. Looks like they are all enjoying themselves, I stuck around until after the half time show then headed back to the warmth of Sherman.
I bet Mazatlan must be just about bursting at the seams with all the people around for Carnival.

It was fun when we were there and enjoyed Carnaval and the fireworks. Glad we were able to do it once.
