Baby Romina update
She has her new arm and as far as I know she is still in Los Angeles. I know that the family will be bringing her here once she returns and I will post photos then. We have had a message from the family as to how appreciative they are to all who donated.
I am sure that is must be a huge challenge getting a child this age to start using her prosthetic arm. Interesting how it is attached to the stub of her arm. It looks like it can be adjusted for a number of years as she grows.

So nice to see an update on Romina even though she does not look too happy in the picture. I am sure you are right that it must be a challenge getting a child her age to understand what is going on.
I have a lot of respect for Shriners and all they do for the children. Years ago I took my youngest son to the Shrine Hospital in St. Louis, just to get a second opinion, and it was an experience I will never forget.
Thanks for the update. I hope that she will be able to continue getting treatments and whatnot as she gets older.
I hope that she is happy with the new arm and that she will adapt to it. I have a friend that I met in Grade 1 who had two prosthetic arms and by Grade 4 or 5 ditched them both because she ended not liking them. By Grade 6 or 7 she tried new ones and still not happy with them, since then she has just done without and has learned to adapt her life without them and has done amazingly well.
They have come a long way since then with prosthetics and will continue to evolve as she gets older so I hope that she will continue to get this care as she grows.
