These are my regular clothes so you can imagine how much more closet space my new duds took up. Everything is now in the closet but it is a fight to close the door. Soon I will be doing a thorough review and either cull some things for donation or put some items aside for storage.
Colin discovered this wee guy under some items that traveled home with us in the car. What to do? We finally put him in some vegetation around a tree and hoped that he would survive.
The geese have been at us night and day. Sometimes they land on the patio and we send Caeli out to chase them off into the lake. We simply say “Caeli, birdies” and she is off even from a deep sleep. Sometimes though they land on our flat add a room roof and stomp about, which by the way is very very loud. Colin got up the other morning about 6AM and used the garden hose to get the goose off the roof. This morning we awoke to two pooping on our clean patio 👿 This is our typical spring battle.
Our most aggressive enemy is this sea doo.
It appears to be a watercraft used by a large group of younger folk. They come after work hours and buzz the lake for hours each taking turns at the helm. Normally this lake is restricted to canoes and kayaks with the occasional grandfathered in water-sky vessel. We have no issue with the noise ( well in fact we do but to each their own ) but we do get upset with their constant abuse of the wildlife on the lake. We caught them several times rushing towards the geese and ducks and frightening them.
After a few days I finally called the RCMP. They did come down to the lake and confronted the group who do happen to be locals. They were warned about challenging the wildlife, etc. Since the RCMP visit they have only returned once and it was tame compared to past visits. Difficult to tell in the photo but there is a baby, a baby crib, beer and a lot of people. The RCMP were kind enough to call me back to say that the group had been severely warned. Only time will tell what happens next.

Wow that’s a lot of clothes!
You smuggling animals from Mexico to Canada, wow, hope he enjoys it here.
Go get them Caeli! Scooter protects us from rabbits and lizards. Glad you finally called the police on that group. Fun is good but scaring wildlife is not.
Why, oh why do people think scaring animals or making them move from where they are is a ‘fun’ thing to do, sure don not understand that mindset… good on you for calling local authorities. Babies and beer sounds like a good combo 🙁
love all the pics of the girls in prior post, they look good and so very cute and vigilent…
Take Care, have a great summer!!
It sure seems like young folks nowadays just don’t have any “raisin” like we did!! We have such a problem in this Okla. Panhandle town with kids racing up and down the streets with loud exhaust and stereos booming! And the police seem to be powerless to do anything. Oh for the day I can GET THE HECK out of HERE!!
