Last night in the USA in 2016

PIcatgo Peak, love this mountian but this year we were jist driving past.

Picacho Peak State Park, love this mountain but this year we were just driving past.  Loved our visit last year, maybe next year.

Hot, hot hot! We have created a dog firnedly enviroment.

Hot, hot hot! We have created a dog friendly environment.  The umbrella keeps the sun off Caeli who rarely sits on me ( she prefers Colin ) .  Carmeh cannot take the heat at all and suffers.  The cardboard map cover over the dog fence keeps enough sun off of her to keep her happy.

Love the Tuscon overpass artwork.

Got to our Amado, AZ, RV Park and welcomed Carol and Bill for a visit about 90 minutes later.

Got to our Amado, AZ, RV Park and welcomed Carol and Bill for a visit about 90 minutes later.

We knew that they were here through Carol’s blog, The Golden Years.  We actually met them last year in Mazatlan when we also met Tioga George. It was a rushed visit as we already had plans to meet other friends for dinner.  No worries as we will for certain catch up with them in Mazatlan.  Such an interesting couple not to mention their trip from Los Angeles to Argentina in a 24 foot RV with 5 kids 😯 in 1978.  You must Google it.

So we sort of ushered out Carol and Bill as Rochelle and Michael arrived.  They had joined us last December on the Isla for several weeks.  This was our third winter of meeting up with these special people.  Amazing how blog readers become good friends.

They picke us u[ wnad we went to a wondeful restaurant in TUbac

They picked us up and we went to a wonderful Mexican restaurant in Tubac, very near where they live.  FYI, fabulous margaritas.

A great evening with not enough time to visit either set of friends.  We are so fortunate to have so many friends wherever we travel.  We had only been at the Napa RV park for 20 minutes when we ran into business friends from Kelowna, then again in Palm Springs where we ran into two sets of friends.  Again we ran into two sets of friends here in Amado, Arizona, just a few miles north of the Mexican border.  We are blessed to have so many friends not only at home but where we travel.

Then there are all you wonderful blog readers, some of whom become real life friends.  Life is good.

We traveled 150 miles toady.

We drove 158 miles today.

  1. You must be excited to know that you will be Mexico once again! We will miss it so much this year but we are also enjoying some wonderful new places this winter.

It is always nice to meet up with old friends as you travel.

Good luck with your border crossing.

Colin and Contessa, Carol and Bill – all you folks look great and so good to see this photo. You are a lot closer to Mexico then we are – we finish packing this morning and get on the road in the afternoon – as least that is our plan….Traveling mercies for all of you and for us as we start from WV today.

Carol and Contessa, alway enjoy the pictures you both post and enjoy the information in your blogs.

  4. So close to Mexico, heck, you probably are already there by the time I post this comment 🙂 Have a good travel day!

You look so comfortable in the passenger seat. What a fun way to travel. Also, love the picture with Bill and Carol. That is one adventurous couple that I would love to meet one day. Enjoy the rest of your trip and safe travels.

Scooter used to prefer the sunlight. With her black body she would get so hot but she wouldn’t move. Skittlez likes it warm but not as much. Have a wonderful journey into Mexico and to the Isla.
