An interesting day
We didn’t push ourselves today but just moved from task to task with no plan nor reason. Because of the high tide at our usual walk time we didn’t walk today. We had planned to walk the beach later in the afternoon but went out to play in the ocean instead. We spent more time today talking to the neighbors and some friends from earlier years. The day passed quickly but we were very relaxed with the flow.
This past March when we put the girls to sleep we had two incidents with butterflies which I explained in this post. Earlier today I was cleaning out a bin of bug spray when a large monarch type of butterfly approached me, although it was more yellow and black than orange. What was strange is that it came into the middle of the palapa while I was working with not so pleasant fragrances and flew around me. Actually it flew around me in a tight radius over and over and over. I finally twigged in and called out to Colin. He could not hear me so I moved to go to him. As I did so the butterfly flew out to the front of our site and I thought had flown away. I called Colin as I ran to him and told him to come quickly. As he did, we both saw the butterfly approach us at the back of the RV ( in fact in the same area that the butterflies had appeared to me last March just before it was time to said goodbye to our beloved girls ). Many of you won’t believe this but I feel ( as does Colin ) that this was a sign that our girls are here with us. Needless to say tears were shed but our hearts were full. I can’t explain the intensity of the feeling but it was also calming.

What a lovely memory. Thank you for sharing so much with us all…….even when it’s hard.
It was such a special moment.
Nice that you have the butterflies there with you again.
Thank you George, we think so also.
I believe what you do about the butterflies. I’ve had similar experiences, such as a butterfly following me the whole daily walk of 15 minutes. It’s good to see you and Colin have settled in and can finally relax in warm weather and those fantastic sunsets.
So good of you to comment Steve. I can’t say that we are totally relaxing yet but close to it. Certainly no stress involved. The sunsets are so very special and each one is unique.
I always believe there are signs of our loved ones near. What a blessing to feel it was your girls. Think of all the happy memories you have shared and the love they gave to you and received from you. They will be with you forever when you think of them. So glad you made it to your dream spot safely through all your trials on the way. Love seeing your pictures and adventures. Thanks for taking the time to share. Don’t think I could be so regular writing with all to see and enjoy there.
Thank you Sharon for your lovely comment. So glad to have you reading my words and understanding.
Ah the sunset, I miss Mexico, it’s been a few years now and I haven’t been to Mazatlan in about 8 or 9, time to go back!
Definitely time to come back for a visit
My feelings now? I think they call it envy!
You know that you are always welcome.
This is a test…Everytime I’ve sent you a comment it is refused saying I already sent it…???
