Invasion of the weird

For two days we had these never before seen on our beach large jellyfish.  There was no way I was gong to go swimming.

One fisherman told us that they were dangerous and another told us they were harmless.  Personally I thought that they looked like they belonged in a science fiction movie or in a bottle in a science lab.

A very active ocean.

I will never tire of watching nor listening to the waves.

Great pictures of the jellyfish, but I’m with you I wouldn’t go swimming!

Google “Jellyfish sting treatment meat tenderizer” for more info on one way to treat a jellyfish sting. We have them in Delaware at our summer home. If they get against your skin, NOT FUN!!

They do have a nasty bring best to stay away from them for sure.

  4. I don’t know how it is there but here if the jelly fish has colour very poisonous. If it is clear it will sting but not as poisonous….I still don’t think I would take my chances. I was stung in the water one time when swimming in Mazatlan and came burning out of the water. They were just tiny though, nothing serious

These were pink colored. Another local I asked said that the sting wasn’t too bad but is still does sting. Fortunately they don’t appear often.

If worse comes to worst, get someone to pee on you. Really. Google it. 🙂
