A Sunday beach day

The tide has changed so that we can walk early in the morning now which I prefer as it is not so windy.  This has been a log weekend here in Mexico so there has been more beach activity than normal.  We spent the day people watching.

There were a lot of 4 X 4 vehicles tearing up and down the beach late Saturday night. We found them camped out all along the beach early Sunday morning.  There were about 35 that I could count.  As you can see they chewed up the sand pretty much all along the beach.  They all managed to parade up and down the beach most of the day.  They were having a good time.

The heron photo was taken from a distance as we did not want to disturb the bird. We realized that this is the first one we have seen this winter. We used to see a lot of them.

The horse drawn cart came past at the perfect time.  The sun is now setting much further to the west.

Quite the sky. One lone sail boat in the bay.

Another wonderful sunset.

I’d rather see the horsedrawn cart than a bunch of motorized vehicles. We haven’t seen as many birds on the beach.this year, especially pelicans. Just a different year I guess….especially the weather. Always better than a winter stuck at home!

We have had fewer ATV’s on the beach but when they are here they are loud. The weather is not perfect but it is better than 8 years ago when we all were wearing winter clothes.
