Run like the wind
There is not a day that goes by that we don’t talk about the girls and of course we continue to miss them. Last February was the last time that they were able to run like the wind. Days prior and certainly many after we had to use the dog stroller as we walked the beach. I have never published most of these photos before nor the very short video. It has been too painful. But I feel that I owe it to them, as a memory of how things used to be on our beach walks.
I have to believe that they are running like the wind wherever they are. This 38 second video shows them running for the last time.

Well that brought some tears. A beautiful tribute to the girls, and fun times they enjoyed with you. They were loved and admired by so many because you shared them with us on your blog. Their calendar pics always bring a smile on my face. Being a doxie owner, who is getting up in age, ha..both of us, I understand about the video of the last run. My little Ellie doesn’t run much now, and a slow walk as well. It is a treat to see them run and play as if they were pups again.
Thanks for the memories of the girls.
They were a wonderful pair and loved the beach we will always remember out visits with them.
We all miss them so much. Love those ears flopping in the wind.
Love the ears! Good memories float and sad ones sink over time. Those two had the best life a dog could have.
It’s nice to have good memories like that. Thanks for sharing them.
Great memories! Must be so hard ! Sara was 13 Feb. 8th and has really slowed down! Great photo’s!
Great pics of fine pups! I’m so glad that we have so many photos of “our girls” too.
That is a great line from Kathy Tycho. Good memories float, sad ones sink. Keep slipping in pics of the girls as you go along. It is your family
I still am enjoying the pictures of your lovely little girls. I am sure you’ll shed many more tears and my heart is with you. I totally understand. Keep posting those memories 🙂
Miss them too and every one of my dachshunds. They always bring a smile to my face. Hugs!
