Enjoying the beach yesterday

While doing whatever we are doing to very slowly prepare to leave we are keeping an eye on the beach activity.  So fun to be here and to experience our third Semana Santa.   Many leave early as they are afraid of the crowds I guess.  We are people watchers.

Yesterday, a local that we know, Danny, got his overloaded truck and trailer stuck. He off loaded some of the wood and moved ahead and got stuck again.  Eventually he got out and continued up the beach.  He is building a lot of palapas along the beach.  More shade for rent.

It got cool before sunset so we decided to have a fire and an impromptu happy hour with Tony and Lorraine.  I met Tony through RV.net and in person in January when we were in Guayabitos.  They moved North to spend a few weeks here over Semana Santa.

Then others joined us and Colin brought out his guitar at their request.

The evening went late and we only started to eat about 9:45PM but it was a lovely evening.  That is why I fell asleep on the sofa after our late meal and hence this is the second post of the day.  I was way too tired to write it anyway.

Here is a very short video of Colin playing last evening.  Sorry about my coughing which is why I cut it short.

Soon time for you to wrap it up again for another winter, a fun day and a nice Happy hour .

  2. What a lovely setting and song on the guitar, “Yesterday, by the Beatles?” Your site with the lights, the fire going and the waves lapping ever so gently. Oh my, I would’ve loved to be there!

Life on the beach, what’s not to like…
