I am amazed at how much we have accomplished

We both have been going full force to get the basics done.  The reason for this is that then I can get both our taxes and the company taxes completed.  I hope to get it all finished within the next 10 days so that we have two weeks to review our Europe plans and do our packing, etc.

We finished the RV today ( inside and basements ) and we even have the bed made for our next trip south early this fall.   The RV storage facility here at the park where we live is still being rebuilt after the floods of last year so we had to find another storage area for the next few months.  The park did allow us to use an empty site to dump and flush so we were good to store the RV.  Only need to take it out once to get the oil changed.

The weather continues to remain unseasonably cold and unusual. It rained all night and at slightly higher elevations snow fell.  There were two more mud slides locally affecting traffic.

By end of day yesterday I got things sorted into piles and today I was able to get most of the envelopes slit open in between other calls to our lawyer,  the bank, etc.

I got the laundry finished today, yeah!  But why would 3 of 8 pair of Colin’s shorts turned themselves inside out?  Later three of my sundresses did the same thing.

Colin cleaned the inside of the RV during the heavy rains and then the basements when it stopped for a bit.  Snow on the local hills as the clouds lifted.  This is what we normally see in November.  The rain soon started yet again.

So much snow.  Unfortunately one of the Jeep tires decided to start deflating so Colin headed off to a tire store and was gone for just over two hours.  Not sure yet but we may have to buy another two new tires for the Jeep.  We have to test the tire for a bit but they thought that the tire might last the summer.

Early night for us, should be eating on about 15 minutes.  Signing out at 8:35PM.

I’m looking at all your landscape photos with snow, and it brings up the question: How can anything so beautiful be so destructive?!

You and Colin seem so motivated to get things done; there is nothing like a great European trip in your future to stimulate motivation. I’m not sure if you read the Mexico Kid’s blog (Les Pearson), but he and a friend have just landed in Lisbon, Portugal today, are staying at an Airbnb, and are resting up from jet lag. Since you mentioned that Spain was on your itinerary and Portugal is not far away, while he and Gracie are touring around, I’m sure he will give all of us a personal weather update.

Take a break once in a while for a vino refreshment!

Good point, how can anything so beautiful be so destructive. It is Mother Nature simply expressing and we have to accept what she gives. I do read Les’s blog but have not checked in for a few weeks due to travel. Thanks for the heads up and I will be sure to check that as it might be on our list for 2019. No worries, there is always time for a vino break, that is what keeps me sane.

Nice to get that job out of the way, wrap up things and get ready for your next adventure.

  3. Holy paper, I can only imagine opening a couple months worth of bills for us and the business. Good luck with your taxes, hopefully they are not too complicated before you get them to the accountant. Yuck, such a late Spring everywhere in Canada, there is still far more snow on our Mountains than normal at this time. Stepson in Ottawa got the icestorm that Ontario experienced over the weekend, 1/2 inch of frozen rain all over everything

5.5 months to be exact. Having to do the VISA statements to get the GST separated, etc, well you know what I mean. Lots and lots of time. I always manage to balance everything to the penny before I send it off to the account in Vancouver. What you might not know is that I do it all manually. No computer programs.

It looks like you’re completely in control. My Denver Hayes shorts (just bought them) have a tag in them suggesting to wash them inside out. Maybe Colin’s shorts do this automatically. Have fun getting ready for Europe, and enjoy the vino therapy!

Peter, I need to get my husband a couple of pairs of those “automatic” shorts! Ha!

Guess what, tow of my sundresses turned inside out yesterday. Something has happened to my washing machine.

    • contessa says:

Actually yes, in control and the big thing is no stress. The vino therapy is working. Too bad you have to turn your shorts inside out manually 🙂
