Just another day here in paradise and some memories

On our beach walk yesterday ( Monday ) Colin saved the life of a star fish.  It must have been thrown high up due to a rogue wave.  But is is now back in the ocean and presumably doing well.

Later in the early afternoon, Pierre took out his catamaran.  He was out there for a very long time, having a great deal of fun.

We got many more things crossed off the list and are almost done.  So we had time to watch the local RV TV.

This guy really got stuck.  When he arrived a few hours earlier he also got stuck and was pushed out by one fellow.

Leaving the beach he got stuck yet again. This time he required more help including members of the boy banda group.

Lots of pushing happening there.

Meanwhile we just relaxed with Anne and Paul as we eased into happy hour.  I still can’t believe that they just showed up here on the Isla for the first time.  I of course recognized Anne due to her very special curly hair and they in turn knew it was our RV due to the paint job.

We first met Anne and Paul in Acapulco where we RVed for four winters.  Thanks for taking these photos  Pierre.  Our first winter in Acapulco was in 2004 but I think that Anne & Paul only arrived in 2006.  She will be the first to correct me if am wrong.  Anne knows the que pasa of all the dates.  We spent several hours reminiscing.  So many special memories.

I have to say that our time in Acapulco was the most special of all our RVing memories.  We did so much there including help the RV park to grow and we met so very many special friends including Henriette & Gilles, Shirley Ann & Jocelyn, Nicole & Jacques, Hannah & Bobbi and so very very many others. Those years were a highlight in our lives.  We have never been in an RV park since that has had such a special mix of people,  half only spoke French and the other half only spoke English.  Because I spoke those two languages and a bit of Spanish I was elected to speak to  the group as a whole.  I usually jumbled  things up.  Instead of relaying the messages from the owner in first English, then in French and then in Spanish, I often ended up using all three languages in one sentence.   Somehow it always worked out 😳  We had unique happy hours up on the mirador where we often saw the whales frolicking in the ocean.  We also had so much music in our times together.  So many musicians including Vince from South America and his twelve string guitar.  We sang, in both English and in French and we danced and danced.  Oh my,  I am getting lost in my memories.   We have yet to find an RV park as wonderful as Play Luces was.  It wasn’t great as far as water pressure and electricity and many other issues,  but it was above and way beyond in camaraderie plus.  To date it remains our very best RV park experience.  I am so thankful to Anne and Paul for bringing these memories to the present.

How the sunset began……

…and how it exploded.   A very special memory was created yesterday thanks to Anne and Paul.
