Plant update
This is what I planted to replace the low aloe vera plants. They will grow into nice bushes and mostly cover the white wall. Does anyone know what they are called?
One of last years hibiscus. So glad that it survived.
A new plant this year. Really hard to shop for hibiscus as all the buds are closed and you can’t be sure of the color and if it is a single flower or a double like this one. This one looks like one that I lost over the summer. Nice plant.
My oldest and favorite hibiscus that I rescued from under the bouganvillea bush gone wild. The color is more on the mauve side than pink. This particular hibiscus is likely seven years old.

We have an idea on how to improve the look. Those are three tall potted palms at the far end.

I sure hope so. I do have some nice flowers from the new plants.
Finally got my pots planted as well. Your bushes look like a honeysuckle. The hummingbirds really enjoy them.
Don’t think so. I will get a better photo to post.

Hi Contessa, how your garden grows – so nice watching that happen. I don’t know what the two little matching bushes are but feel sure I have seem them many times while in Mexico. The large tree type that is on the right in the photo – is that the one you called Desert Rose? Whatever the name I love that tree – comes in pinks and reds I believe – I love the clear colors and the simple bloom it produces and that is probably the same reason I love your Hibiscus, especially the single bloom. Keep them growing and will be watching for more photos. Wonder what could repell those iguanas? As always enjoy your sunsets photos.

You are correct it is called a Desert Rose and as soon as I got here and started watering ( but just a tiny but ) it has started to loose leaves, sadly but I know that it will perk up again. I had really hoped to get single blooms this year but as they are opening they are mostly doubles.
