Yesterday being the Friday before Christmas was not too busy but there still were many out enjoying the beach at low tide.
I however was inside preparing for a party. My fridge has never been s full.
I stepped outside for a moment and there was this iguana walking towards me. I dashed inside to grab my camera but didn’t have time to focus the lens. It just kept coming. Finally I started to chase it away. I didn’t want it to get too comfortable in my garden. I love my hibiscus.
Yesterday was my annual RV1 Christmas dinner. We started with happy hour.
There will be a few extra photos this post as there are others who are not here this year who are enjoying the activities via my blog.
Pierre waving hola to the camera.
We all enjoyed the first extraordinary sunset that we have had this past week. Plus the evening was perfect. For the second time ever that I have hosted this party we had no noseeums.
Once the sun was set, certain chefs from each RV headed off to gather their contribution to the meal.
We were sixteen, two did not come to the party.
The tables were full of wonderful foods from many salads and veggies to curry shrimp and salmon ( y mucho mucho mas ). A true feast.
Suddenly the group went quiet as they enjoyed their dinner.
Once dinner was cleared away, it was time for some Christmas caroling, a first for one of my fiestas.
Was that a ‘gloria’ Audrey?
In the middle of the caroling we had a surprise visit by Santa and Rude olph.
They were making a quick stop to give us some holiday candies. What fun. We were all bent over laughing. Thanks for stopping by Santa, see you next December.
Next we had a song by a group just in from France, singing “Il est ne le Devin enfant”. How fortunate that they had time to stop in and grace us with a French Christmas Carol/Cantique de Noel.
Then we had these divas lead a song…..
We Wish You a Merry Christmas complete with hand shakes and hugs.
Towards the end certain furry creatures joined the party.
Later some dancing was involved.
It just might have been one of my better parties. Life is good here on the Isla. Oh yes, we did sing ‘Let It Snow’ but with the add on of ‘just not here’.
What a fun time everyone had getting together for a Christmas celebration.
It was one of my best parties.
That’s the way to celebrate Christmas! What a wonderful bunch of RVers down there in Mexico sharing this great lifestyle. I meant to congratulate you before on your beautiful Christmas decorations. So very festive. The look of the inside of your RV blew me away. Wish my living room were that nice!
Merry Christmas to you and Colin and a Happy and Healthy New Year!
Feliz Navidad to you and yours. Glad you like our lights and decorations. When we had our huge home I really went to town decoration.
Looks like a wonderful celebration! That definitely makes up our minds about which park to come to next year!
We are looking forward to seeing you both yet again. Stay warm up there 🙂
