A very special & fun party
I had no idea what to expect when Sofia my massage therapist invited us to a Valentine’s Day party. She is Mexican and her partner is American and they live 6 months here and 6 months in Washington State every spring and summer. Sofia’s family and most of her friends don’t speak English and Brad doesn’t speak Spanish so it is a real mix when they have a party. We had the best time ever.
Sophia went all out on decorations. She does love to throw a party.
They are renting a lovely house in Playa Sur.
There were six of us from the RV park and several friends of Brad’s from back in the US. We actually knew two other couples.
There were so many small perfect party touches. Event the tablecloths had hearts on them.
Brad did most of the cooking for the dinner but these cupcakes were purchased and were so fun with their heart decorations. As you can see Sofia was having a great time as well as being a great hostess. She even had a party favor bag for each of us as we left, full of yummy chocolates.
I lost count count at 26 people. After the meal, dance music was put on and guess who was dancing? Can you see me in the pink?
As you can see everyone had a great time.
I was so busy living in the moment that I did not take many photos.
Sofia started a jump jive with Colin, then I took over…
…and Laura finished the song with Colin. Colin has magical feet and does love to jump jive. It always take three women to complete a song with him. Yes it is that exhausting. What a work out. Not to mention fun!
We had a lovely time meeting Sophia’s family, sharing a bit of conversation and some dances. I sure hope that we get invited back another time. It was a privilege to be included in such a special evening.
And yes my repaired camera worked and there appear to be no spots but there is a new problem. Something with the actual function of the camera. The programming seems to be off, so yet another visit to the camera guy.

What a fun party you had , so nice of Sophie to invite you guys.
It was very special to be included. We really enjoyed meeting many new friends.
You guys seem to be good dancers that liven up the party. She sure put on a great event and I’m sure everyone appreciated the special touches. Happy Valentine
It wasn’t until Colin and I go up that others began to dance. Sofia was happy as she loves to dance.
What a fun party. How wonderful to be included. Looks like an amazing time. Great decorations and an enthusiastic bunch of folks.
