Yet another long travel day
But first lets start with a photo taken just as dinner was about to be served last evening.
FYI Corelle not only breaks, it shatters. I have had these dinner plates since 1999.
We slept well at our overnight at the rest area. From here we turned and headed straight North all day.
I love my new camera and the zoom lens.
For the first time in years we were seeing a lot of snow. But we do happen to be about two weeks earlier returning home.
Who lived here? Where did they go? What happened?
Just before Deadman Pass on I 84 @ Pendleton, Oregon.
Just in case you missed the first and the second warning. This is a serious descent.
After several sharp turns we will end up down there, a long six mile drop.
I was torn and wanted to head West to the Portland area but instead we kept heading North.
Any further North and we will be in Canada.

Further along in the Sun Lakes area we saw this family of four fishing. Only three here in the photo.
Today seemed like an extra long day but we did the same amount of miles as yesterday, 435 miles. Tonight we are stopped at the Walmart in Omak, Washington along with 13 other RV’s. All of us wanting to head back to Canada in the morning. We are approximately 40 miles from the border but then we have a way to go after that to get home.

As Correlle ages and used in microwave, too, it will shatter when dropped and it lands flat. 20 years is a long time but you may still be able to replace those pieces in an outlet store for Correlle and Pyrex dishes. You will research that but we do have an Outlet store near by if you need any help to purchase.
Love the photos of the hills – they just look so fuzzy and warm. Almost home and that is a wonderful feeling.

Correlleware is great stuff but you drop them on any hard surface. They generally look like your photo.
I have several miss matched Correlleware dishes. They still look great. Have a safe trip home.

We still have most of our corolla most of it from the early 80s and serves us well. Another good travels day for you and more safe travels along the way.
Well all I los was my two dinner plates but I plan to find them somewhere. I have all summer to do that.
We’re leaving Mazatlan on Friday and your photos make me want to get going. Time to go home. Had a piece of new corelle do that 10 years ago when it fell out of a cupboard in the cold. Found shards of it for weeks.

I just got rid of our Corelle after 20 years last year – I’ve had the same happen to a plate before. Very strange how tough it is until it breaks. So close to home! Have a safe final leg and fingers and toes crossed for an easy border crossing

The nice thing about Corelle is they will replace it, no questions asked, I didn’t even have to send in the broken one. Of course they may no longer have your pattern. It looks like you had nice dry roads for your trip home. It will be nice to sleep in your own bed tonight 🙂
I didn’t know about them replacing it. I will be sure to look into that, gracias. We had no more that 10 minutes of rain the entire trip North. Well we do love our RV bed as well. We have the same mattress in both places but in the RV it is a queen and a king at home.
