How we spent July 1st

I just found the park’s parade photos in my files.

There has been a parade of sorts here for over 25 years.

This wooden golf cart was made here in our wood shop.

The park provides decorations for anyone who wants to decorate their bike, pet or themselves.

This group from Saskatchewan was making their presence known in the park.  Nice display of colour.

On the way to water our garden we came across this cute flower statement.  The owner is into bikes and bicycle racing.

What better to do on the final day of the long weekend but clean.  With all of our open windows we get a lot of dust.  Colin decided to clean the Swarovski crystal lights.  I could not believe the amount of dust on the right one. We have four of them, on our curved kitchen nine unit low voltage light rail, over the kitchen counter.  Now I have much more light in the kitchen.

It was also time to start cleaning up all the mess left from the spiders and their webs. FYI, there were no bugs where we were in Europe. No screens on the windows and no flies and not any biting bugs.  Almost worth moving to Europe to get away from the insects.

Colin spent a lot of time cleaning the webs off the windows, screens and the eves.  So nice to be a bit freer from all that yucky stuff. We know that they will eventually be back but for now we are feeling really clean.

Looks like Canada Day was fun there, and now to get things all cleaned up again until next time.
