Dec 29, 2019
On December 24th we were privileged to see a most wonderful sunset. We had spent the day cleaning up from our posada party and doing a bit of food prep for our Christmas dinner as well as fitting in a bit of relaxation here and there. My knee was sore but my soul was happy. I managed to get thru the party on the 23rd by using a liquid lidocaine 10% solution that basically froze the sore parts. We had invested too much into the party to cancel the event.
We had three cruise ships in port on the 24th. This was a Holland America.
The light was so interesting.
Almost an oops.
The second ship, a Carnival,
Carol, Rod, Laura, Alan and the two of us were in awe of this spectacular sunset.
A few days later I read online in the local news that this was considered to be the very best sunset that Mazatlan had witnessed in many years.
The colours were spectacular.
Audrey and Darwin and visiting family had set up luminaries along the front of the park.
As well as the parking area of the park.
The third cruise ship of the day is finally leaving, a Princess ship as I recall.
Truly, an extraordinary Christmas Eve.
