So much to do……
…and so little time 🙁
We have changed our plans and are leaving at 5:30AM Sunday with a 512 mile drive which should take about 12 hours to San Carlos. The following day will see us crossing the border into the US. Due to the unsettledness because of the coronavirus we are somewhat concerned about the Mexico – United States border and want to get into the US before something changes. Such as the border being closed 😯
Our B.C. government is strongly requesting that all travelers retuning to our province self isolate for 14 days. Fortunately we are pretty much already isolated when traveling in our RV. However we will do what needs to be done.
Meanwhile we are packing up as fast as we can. Of course all the extra standing has my knee swollen and so I am resting when I can and icing every spare moment. For certain I will be getting lots of rest over the next few weeks as we make our way north. We do have a few things that we need to do enroute and will do so based on the day to day changes of what will be transpiring in the US.
We are really doing fine but busy. I have some things I want to share with you and will do so as I am able. I think my blogging priority over the next few days will be the actual trip so that others following behind will see what we have had to deal with. I will later catch you up on all the que pasas.
There is no run on toilet paper here so we were able to get some to bring home as there is none on the shelves there. However there is a run on hand sanitizer, masks and gloves mostly by Americans and Canadians. We got a lead today on where to find some and Colin was successful so we are now prepared in every way possible.
This is the latest information I have found on what is happening here in Mexico re the virus.

I think you are doing the right thing. This Coronavirus is scary and people are panicking. Who knows what Trump will do with our borders. Please try to not over do with your knee and safe travels.
Wishing you Safe travels and hoping you don’t have a problem getting into the US because of their plans to close the borders. Keeping you in our prayers.
It’s about time.
I was hoping to see you before you left!
We leave monday to go to Copala for @ a week to house/dog sit. Then back to Tennessee on the 31st.
We return to the Isla December 1st, so we can catch up then.
Safe travels!
I am so glad to hear this news – I have been worried about you. Now that Trump called a State of Emerg in the USA I am afraid he has powers to close the border any time. Don’t worry about blogging – just get home safe!
I think getting into the USA is a very wise move. I doubt you will have trouble getting into Canada and as you say, self isolation is a wise choice regardless.
Safe travels, keep off the knee, stay healthy.
What about your generator? Did I miss what happened?
Traveling Mercies each and every day Contessa and Colin.
