I forgot to mention….

The company who repaired the golf cart and put in new batteries mentioned that it was apparent that a sledge hammer had been used to removed the batteries 😥 I also managed to find the same company from which we had first ordered our storage cover and with the exchange rate it come in at $410.00CAD 😯  It will be here tomorrow.  Good thing we decided to go with our insurance company.  Even with paying an extra ten percent for the next three years we are well ahead financially.  Meanwhile we are still struggling with the same insurance company to get the go ahead to get the RV windshield replaced.  We have spoken to so many different agents and they all start at the same place and all come back with a no despite the fact that we have it in writing that we are covered. Most frustrating.

The day after to cart was delivered Colin used it to take two areas carpets to a retired carpet cleaner here in the park. He cleaned them both ( largest was 2.5 x 5 feet ) and the guy only charged us $9.00.  Great deal.

It really needed a proper clean and now looks brand new. We mostly have laminate floors now so don’t get a carpet cleaner here very often.  When they did the entire house they would do these small carpets for free.

Then he spent the better part of the day cleaning the outside of the windows as well as the screens. It is really nice having Colin home 🙂

Friday evenings menu.

A new propane tank and a new propane hose. It all worked perfectly.

Dinner was perfect, our first salmon since early October.  The papa is hidden underneath the cebolla.

I took today off.  It was supposed to be sunny and warm.  Not.  I did not even walk over to the garden to water.  Despite the heavy rain we got yesterday, Colin said that it was dry and the soil was cracking. I am most happy to tell you that I am fairly caught up with my inbox.  I won’t let it get over 50 no matter what.  My reward it that I get to start a novel 😎

Brains for trains…funny :). Our dinner was excellent but very rich, not something we would have every week. Stay safe my friend.

  2. With regard to your RV window claim contact the BC superintendent of insurance – they are the regulators who oversee all insurers who sell insurance in BC. Lodge a complaint. If they said they would pay they will have to. https://www.bcfsa.ca/

Thank you so much. Colin fired off an email today and mentioned the BC superintendent of insurance and filing a complaint with the BCFSA and we got an email that someone would be coming out to take photos of the window and the VIN, etc. I owe you a bottle of wine. Mil gracias. Still no actual go ahead with the claim but progress.

Love, love, love the picture of the “social-distancing” pigeon vs the human. So perfect!!

Thanks for our laugh of the day!

  4. Love it! “Dumber than a pigeon.”

I was going to suggest a letter to the insurance department, with a copy to the insurance company. Include a photo if it looks pretty bad. It sure works with problems with the telephone company in Arizona. Mention “Corporation Commission” and your problems is resolved immediately.

Or, you might mention “I’ve always wanted to file a small claims suit, just for the experience.” Most companies figure it is cheaper to settle than go to court.
