Yesterday…..

…I have to be quick with this post.  Colin has asked if we could have dinner by 8:30PM instead of 9PM or later. It is already 8:20 so I bet we won’t eat before nine.

I am really getting tired of the wind.  We do get wind from time to time but not day after day after day.

I am still wearing two layers of fleece each time we go for a walk.  Even Wylie the coyote is getting splashed.

It was laundry day yesterday and I could not help but be creative with Colin’s clean socks.

Leftovers.

Cold salmon, a mix of rice and quinoa, steamed asparagus ( such a different taste than the BBQ’ed version we had the other night, and a favourite salad.  Costco had no romaine the other day so we managed with spinach.  Another yummy dinner.

Did I mention that Colin started to wax the golf cart?  He is not bored but is enjoying doing things that he never had time to do.  I will leave you with a few fun things.  Colin delayed dinner and we eat in twenty minutes 😎

If I had learned fractions in school this way I might be better at math than I am.

So impressive, but will we be able to maintain what we have gained these past few months?

Looks like we will be eating at 8:50PM, only twenty minutes late 😯   Hope you enjoyed this post.

  1. You have to remember that you are normally just getting home around this time so you basically miss much of the Spring weather.
Glad you are still keeping busy while staying Safe.
Too bad we all add to the pollution and our grands will have to live with it.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It’s about time.

I always said that I am glad that we never had children because of our current environment. No this spring is most unusual, at least for this area.

  2. No romaine in our stores either. I’ve got romaine seeds to plant though! The weather has been weird.

Lots of Romaine here so far. The mountains of snow we faced on the 27th of March when we arrived home are now gone on the 28th of April…that’s why we Snowbirds should only be coming home now. ? But..I must say it’s nice to be ahead of the game..lettuce, beets and radishes are already up. Only 7C this morning and rain for the foreseeable future. I enjoy your posts and always the food..love steamed asparagus.

You can plant lettuce that early? I will look into it next spring. Maybe I should grow our own romaine. The food photos are recent, perhaps a tribute to George.

Loved the sock picture – creative and colourful. Keep well – and dry.

That sock thing just sort of happened. We are doing as best we can to stay safe. Hey the rain never happened today, lucky us.

I did not take those photos of LA of course but the college certainly makes a point. As to the socks,it was a blond moment but fun.
