A very special gift from from Mother Nature

We have had very few sunsets this month and a good deal of rain.  So just this past Tuesday, the 23rd, we are treated to a spectacle.

I first noticed the various colours on the  contours of the hills to the north.

Then to the south with a lovely reflection.

I was focusing on the brightly lit clouds to the east, when Air Canada flew over.

….and towards the west.

Wonderful reflections to the south from the setting sun.

Back to the west.

Beautiful! Because of the way our house is set and the little mountain behind us we do not see many sunsets but always get excited when we do see color in the sky. One of the reason I so enjoy your sunset pictures from the Isla and the sunsets from Guayabitos. What an artist our Good Lord is – who else could have thought this up?

great pictures. makes life worthwhile to see the sunsets.

  3. Wow, the way the light is on the hills it’s stunning – like a painting. I am looking forward to some nice weather although I took Buddy for a walk at lunch yesterday and he was super hot after a few minutes – thankfully he gets his haircut next Tuesday for the first time since lockdown.

  4. Nice pictures courtesy of Nature.

    Hello Contessa and Colin,
The most beautiful sunset pictures just make me want to hug you . What colours !!!!! It may not be Mx. but they were most outstanding. Nature never disappoints . No matter what goes on in our little world and there is plenty right now. Won’t dwell on the negative. Every season has its beauty. We go down to our park by the river quite often. I just love those old big trees with branches in all direction. We are so lucky to be able to treat our souls with nature and music. I like many genre of music but the classics move me most.
Have a great weekend. Stay healthy and take care.
    Love Peter & Hannelore.
