Bonus day

Colin was up early yesterday morning and took these for me.

A sunrise reflection in the west.

There are five geese in that photo but only four have been hanging around. Maybe someone had a sleepover. I suddenly realized as I am writing this, that this winter it will be dark later in the morning. I just might be lucky enough to enjoy some sunrises this winter.

And this is my sunset at the end of the day.

I really do love nature.

*****YUCK! Colin just got back from watering the garden and actually saw a rat come into our garden and walk towards the tomatoes. He gave it a big blast of water with the hose.  I am not going there again on my own 😯

  1. You might consider making a raised Garden Bed to stop the Rodents from getting at your plants.

Just read Gone Rogue and thought you might find this of interest. A Harvest Right Home Freeze Dryer as a way of preserving your Garden Produce.
    Be safe and Enjoy!

    It’s about time.

How high would it have to be? The beds are already 8 inches high and the rats are climbing another three feet higher to get to the tomatoes. Good idea re drying and then no problem we storage but we can’t afford that price.

Won’t be long before those geese will move south and you have a solid surface out there!

The geese are heading south and then another group comes and leaves. No new ones today though. Apparently skating does happen out on the ice. We need to keep some open water for the ducks that winter here and then the tundra swans. It will be an adventure.
