How did it get to be November
I had trouble staying asleep last night and so I was laying awake from 5:15AM to 6:30AM when I realized that I had not changed the clocks last night. So that meant that instead of getting an extra hour of sleep, I actually was awake at 4:15AM 😯  I usually am never up before 8AM so I  had a very long day. I did get a few extra to do’s crossed off my list which was good.
I have never before been affected with the time changes but today I felt out of sorts each time I checked the clock. Â I either had extra time or the time was passing too quickly. I was doing some mending when suddenly the sun went behind the hill at 3:50!! It wasn’t long before the sunset and now at 5:10PM it is almost dark. Â I had forgotten how much less daylight there is in winter here as opposed to Mexico.
October went by so quickly that I never posted our calendar photo. Might as well bring in November with an October photo.

Kathy has complained about the lack of Sun lately so I remined her of this. The day before the Summer Solstice there was Fifteen Hours and Sixteen Minutes between Sunrise and Sunset. Today we only had Ten Hours and Sixteen Minutes between Sunrise and Sunset a loss of Five Hours. That time does not allow for the Heavy Cloud Covers nor what falls from those Clouds.
Many People suffer from SADD around this time of year. Keeping your Vitamin D3 levels up using Supplements and Lightbulbs that emit Sunlight Rays helps relieve those issues.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
Great suggestions Rick. I do take 2500 IU of Vitamin D normally. To earl in the season to see if I need to invest in those special lights.
We are not affected by the time change and apparently neither are our dogs, they usually get up at 6, now they are getting up at 5 expecting to be fed!
Lucky you, and the pups.
5 yrs in 2020, HA!!
Glad you got a chuckle.
Ha. Yes indeed. 2020 has been 5 yrs. And as for the time change, I wish they’d just PICK ONE. I don’t care which. I can find something to be displeased about with either change. Mostly, as an unemployed person who does not have to get to a job, I just try to go by the sun, but find I am irritated the first few days, no matter which way. Well, if that’s the least of my problems, I’m a lucky old woman. Maybe cranky, but lucky.
More and more people are wanting to keep the time the same year round with no changes. The governments need to listen to us.
