Let the holidays begin!
Now that the fence was complete and the landscape rocks were in place, it was time to begin with some Christmas magic.
Of course everything here is a first for decorating, both outside and inside. So last Saturday was the day. It wasn’t raining nor snowing and the sun was out. Some would’ve called it warmish. I wore a pair of long johns under my pants and was warm enough.
Thanks to a very special fellow blogger who has become a very good online friend in the past years and in particular these past months. She mentioned this particular tree on a recent blog post. Her blog can be found here. The tree is everything we hoped it would be and super easy to set up. The third step of our outdoor set up required us to somehow attach three sets of lights on the inside our windows. Easier to do from the inside ( less damage ) but much more trying on the nerves, but we did get it done.

Your place looks so festive! We put up our tree last weekend and it was so much fun so see our Christmas stuff that we last used eight years ago. Seeing stuff after twenty years would be so much fun, almost like you are opening your Christmas gifts early 🙂
I’m sure that you have a wonderful reunion with your things. Because our home was so large, 5600 sq ft and now we live in 1000 sq ft we knew that we had to get rid of so much of our stuff. Still what we have left is the best of the best.
Looks great! We talked about lighting up one of our trees out front but we need to order some solar lights.
It is amazing what they have done with solar in lighting over the years. We can’t rely on solar here because it is mostly grey and dark all winter.
Everything looks marvelous! You guys are so organized and meticulous…all in a good way!
Enjoy your festive home!
Thank you. We are going to make the best of the our winter here. However to be honest I would rather be on the Isla with you both.
So glad you bought one of those trees. I love ours, I hope they last well. The hummingbirds checked mine out daytime thinking the lights were possibly flowers (I had just changed their food so they were good that way) due to all the colours. I will post pictures of ours next blog post.
It looks great, imagine how perfect it will look with a little snow.I love the tree I need one of those, I used to have one of the palm trees with rope lights but it was stolen 2 years ago from our front yard in the last park we stayed in as well as a generator that was chained to the leg of the 5th wheel, nothing was very safe there sadly.
