A change and some deals

We even made some money.

We had ( yes, past tense ) five of these stools. I could never ever sit on them. They were too difficult for me to get on and to me, not comfortable at all. So I never used them. Then I got tired of not being able to sit at the counter.

So we sold them for $15.00 each. I think we paid close to $200.00 each back in 2012. These are heading down to Mexico.

Meanwhile I had begun to look for replacements. We decided we really only needed two and that would give us more room for dog stuff and of course guitars! These swivel and are perfect for me. They were asking $20.00 each but we offered $15.00 each and now they sit in our kitchen. The only thing they don’t do is move up and down. They are in great shape and I called back and asked if she had another two to sell. No, these were the last two.

Colin like them but decided that he wanted height adjusting stools as well. We checked out a few but they were actually badly damaged and selling as if new. I saw this pair within an hour of being advertised and we were first in in line. They were in really good shape and very light to move around and comfortable as well.  Sold for $20.00 each.  Had I been there I would have offered $15.00 each. So now we have his and her stools.

We made $75.00 on our five stools and now have four more that we really like ( I can sit on all four ) and we still have an extra $5.00 in our pocket. We don’t usually do that but of course like everything else in the world, nice new quality bar stools are hard to come by. Happy with our purchases. We also sold a huge fan that we never use and a carrier that we used only a few times when the twins were small – gosh I wish they were tiny again. That $95.00 is burning a hole in my pocket 😎

How very yucky. Glad we have our girls on monthly tick meds. If we don’t go to Mexico this winter we can stop in October. They would be on tick meds twelve months a year when we travel south.

So very very true.

It seems that people are no longer checking in on a daily basis. So be sure to go back to check the posts that you might have missed.

I’m reading your blog every day I just have a lot of family staying with us and haven’t had time to comment.

Very sad about the storm damage and I sure hope your palapa is okay!

And I love your new stools ?

I now that you do and that you are a loyal commenter. Just found out today that our two palapas are still intact – there may be holes but we don’t know yet. Ask we many not know this year either, darn Covid. Enjoy your family, that is most important.

I read every day but don’t get comments written. I love the twins so much. Hopefully some of the cooker weather we have here in Montana is helping you guys with your fires.

Thanks for checking in Sandie. I know that you are busy with your lives as busy as well. After what we have been thru together over the years with our doxies I know that you are always out there. Yes, some of your cooler weather has arrived. Gracias.

Never fear, I also check in every day especially for a peek at the twins and what they have been up to.
I also want to see what you and Colin have been up to. I’m in Florida, it’s summer and I’m so waiting for fall and winter. I do all my planting of my flowers and yard up keep then.
About your stools, I also have problems getting hiked up on some stools. All my life, (I’m 75), I was
5’4″ tall, but now I am a little bit short of 5’2″. I like chairs. , :)) Stay safe.

Before we started to RV we traveled to Florida for the odd vacation. Maybe one day we will come down and have a good visit. Love to know that you are out there and keeping up with the posts. I am 7 years younger than you and also was 5’4″ but have certain shrunk by now.

I read every day but seldom comment. I just haven’t felt like talking much lately.

    • contessa says:

I get that Linda, I don’t expect everyone to comment. I know that many are reading but sometimes I do get to wonder about it. I am writing this blog mostly for us as a diary but I so love sharing our lives with my readers.

Love the bar stools! The white matches your couch beautifully, we also had purchased a couple wood swivel but did the exact same as you, sold and purchased hydraulic I like the option of different heights! We got ours from market place gotta love fantastic deals! Have a wonderful day and hugs to the girls ?

    • contessa says:

Actually Karen, it was the white ones we sold as I just was not compatible with them. Gave the girls big kisses. Are we going to see you this month?

Of course I check! 🙂 You’re all part of the family now! 🙂

As you are a part of our family. Hey we adopted kids from the same family. Our three girls are lucky that our families connected.

I too check daily, or at least 5 times a week! But when there are a lot of comments, I don’t always chime in. And even when there are not. I do like to see what’s happening with you and you always have good photos and a nice narrative! So I guess I’m a lurker. Doesn’t sound nice, does it.

    • contessa says:

Thank you for being a part of my loyal readers. I don’t expect to have folks comment. When I posted daily I did get more comments and I just wondered if that was the reason I wasn’t hearing form anyone. I do know that many are out there. I love knowing that you are a lurker and happy when you do comment. Hugs.
