Today was a very special day for us all

Our girls, our very special chocolate stash were born on January 4th, 2021. Carlie was born first, followed by Sequoia ( the third sister and triplet ) and Ciela was born 2.5 hours after Carlie. Other than a few extra treats there was nothing special. We did think of hiring a mariachi band to play and to invite a few friends over for a glass of vino but in the end it was just another day but a very special day. Happy first birthday to Carlie and to Ciela and to Sequoia.

Just born on January 4th, 2021.

For the past few days I have met Colin and the girls on the beach and then we do the “go see your mom” and they get a treat from me and then ” go see your dad” where they get a treat. Actually they are only getting a half treat.

They beeline right back to Colin.

Then back to me.

Not at all distracted by anything and they are off leash with their leash dragging in behind. Getting them ready to be on their own but perhaps not until next winter.

Once back from the beach we tried to get some special birthday photos.

Comical. Yes they were being offered even more treats.

Well it is their birthday.

Enough already!!

******This is my second post within four hours!

Happy birthday twins. Your babies are so cute. Helps to train them when they are treat motivated. Give them a kiss from me.

We love “the game” on the beach. We used it regularly when we traveled with three labs. It would give them exercise at the end of the day (mental and physical) and they were lazer focused on us and our treats. We even graduated to having all three on a sit/stay next to Dave. I would walk a distance away (however far was safe for the area we had to work in), turn and call ONE of them by name. they had to figure out who was being called. that dog would run to me and sit/stay next to me. I’d do the same until I had all three next to me, then we’d do the reverse til Dave had them all. Fun to learn these new skills!

Sometimes we even had two dogs passing each other, at a dead run, as we both called one of them at the same time! You can imagine that took a bit of practice but we all had a good time and were exhausted by the time we returned to the motorhome!

Oh this is great information. We will be sure to work on some of these things. Tired and exercised dogs are what we all want at the end of the day.

Happy birthday Carlie and Ciela! 🙂
At least they get to run.
It’s to bleeping cold for Sequoia and Opal to be out any longer than it takes to do their business.
Looks like the training is going well, and they just get to run off all the calories 🙂
