Some folks get their RV’s re painted or touch up certain areas while here. Much cheaper that back home. This fellow actually hooked up and drove his 5th wheel into the parking lot so as to not overspray his neighbours units.
Taken from a neighbours FB page, showing the painting booth from behind.
Luna is a few months older than the girls, a true Mexican dog born here on the Isla. Her adopted parents live here in the park during winter months as we do. This was from the first play date when we heard a lot of barking. Yesterday on the second play date there was no barking, just wrestling. I think that they make a great Oreo cookie.
I finally got around to making my Christmas cookies last week. They are already gone.
Not all days are sun and warmth. I like the clouds here.
I have no idea who this lady is but we have watched her for years walking her dog on the beach at sunset day after day. This year she has slowed down and with her cane makes it to this log at the edge of our site. She sits and her dog walks himself but always comes back to her. She sits for a very long time after the sun has set looking at the horizon. I’m sure that she has many stories to share about the Isla and her time here. I wish that my Spanish was enough to chat with her. Some days I just want to go down to the beach and give her a huge hug.
Yes we have fog on occasion, great photo by Colin. Our weather has been on the cool side the past few days. Highs of 22C/ 72 F during the day. We are not complaining, we just put on a sweater, after all it is January.
Sent by a friend from back home. The snow has been already melting for days. As you can see there has been a good deal of the white stuff. We were so fortunate that our winter at home last year was mild.
For those still housebound because of snow this might be fun to try.
Sunset from January 16th.
Life is good on the Isla. Wish we had a pool. I wonder if this is a male cousin.

As awesome as those sunset pictures were, I really like the picture of the netter in the fog! The framing of the boat and the birds along with the fog is incredible.
That is a shrimp boat. I love that photo, especially with the pelicans.
Thanks for sharing the picture of the painted snow from Levenworth, that is a fun craft idea for the kids 🙂
I would love to try it myself but don’t anticipate being home in the snow for a long time.
What a neat idea to paint the snow. Don’t know if I should suggest it to my grandkids before talking to my daughter-in-law. Yes, it seems to be colder everywhere at this time of year. We are just glad not to be home with all the snow right now.
This of us that went south were very fortunate this season.
Hi Contessa, the pictures are to die for, love ’em !
Is there any place where U permanently live where U could learn some more of the Spanish language ? Or perhaps acquiring teaching recordings could be of help.Spanish language is grammatically complex, but phonetically simple.
Contessa, que hermosas fotos de las flores en tu jardĂn, asi tambien como los atardeceres en la isla.
Lucy.
Gracias. The flowers and the sunsets are my favourite things and walking the beach of course. We have all kinds of learning tools for Spanish however the problem is that is if you don’t use it you loose it. We haven’t been here since early March 2020 and we are now not out and about to speak with others but we keep trying.
