Day 11 and last night at Camp Cummins

We did a test drive at the end of today which is day 11 of being disabled and all is well.  We did rough roads and various tests of our own. Cummins had taken the coach out before us for their own tests.

Very happy with the results and will spend night four here at Camp Cummins. Will do a quick grocery shop in the morning ( did not want to go out in rush hour ). Get to dump and wash my hair tomorrow.  Tomorrow will be a shorter day at about 260 miles and then we will increase the length of our days after that. We need to relax and rebuild tonight.

We can’t say enough about the staff here at Las Vegas Cummins. They really did go all out to do the best they could for us each day that we have been here.

Special thank you to you my dear blog readers whose comments and emails have helped get us through these difficult times.  Tomorrow is another day but it is supposed to be freezing tomorrow night 😯  Sorry no more photos nor words, I am still exhausted and emotionally unsettled.  But you know me, I will be sure to include all the neat photos that you have missed including our last days on the Isla in the weeks ahead.

  3. Nice when someone that actually knows what they are doing works on your rig.

Fantastic News! It makes a world of difference when competent mechanics work on your rig, that’s for sure. I must say that I admire your strength and persistence (any melt-down in this situation is well-deserved). I would have sold off that 900 lbs (lol) of delicious shrimp, loaded necessities and my 2 little dogs into that toad, and driven home, abandoning the rig. May you all have an uneventful trip home.

So glad you will be on your way. So impressed with how the little ladies have held up. I hope the frustration is over and it’s smooth sailing!

Will you be gardening when you get home? I’m about to plant my seedlings.

    Safe travels!
