The days are passing swiftly. I have to keep up with all of my photos. Just to let you know that I am feeling better today. Someone asked how the chiropractor worked with my ribs. She simply tried to align my spine working with the muscles and ligaments. It has helped but I know that I need to see her a few more times. But it sure is nice to be able to take a very deep breath for the first time in 16 days.
The geese are just laid back during these hot summer days. We do have a very few ducks as well.
Just a few more examples of the aerial photography that Colin did on July 26th. The south arm of the Fraser River.
Vancouver Harbour.
He wanted me to post this so you could see his socks! As Colin flies with the door removed from the helicopter to his left he has to keep his pants from flapping in the wind. In the ‘olden days’ he had to duck tape his seatbelt buckle for safety in case it opened.
Richmond with the Fraser River in the foreground.
Vancouver airport – almost impossible to get permission from the tower to fly in this area.
This was the helicopter he flew in, a Gimbal Cabri G2.
Colin set up some patio furniture on our lawn but I was unable to leave the house to enjoy it.
Colin and Ciela on July 30th. Both the girls love jumping in and out of the hammock. We got this particular hammock around 2007-2008 while RVing in Acapulco. We spent 3 or 4 winters there.
Having an afternoon nap on July 31st. I was doing the same in my teal recliner.
An interesting sunset because of the smoke from the Apex Mountains fire, again on July 31st.
For some reason, likely because of all the rain and then the heat our HoneyLocust Tree is growing very rapidly.
I was surprised to see how it had grown around the Mark White kinetic wind sculpture we had purchased in Taos, New Mexico perhaps in 2005/2006. I just looked it up and this is now worth about $2,000.00 USD. We paid half of that.
Snip, snip, August 1st.
Visitors to our golf course last week. Thanks for sharing the photo Cindy.
I just have to add here, that it is really difficult to do a blog post knowing that Gramma Katie won’t be reading it.
I’ll bet Louie will be reading it to her in his prayers each night. If not, you read it out loud to her, and she will hear you. I’m one who believes in parallels, and Gramma Katie has just gone to the next parallel after a long fulfilling life in this parallel.
Just call me crazy!
It won’t be long before you and Colin will start packing for the Isla.
I bet it is nice to take some deep breaths! Love the helicopter pictures, that would be fun.
It’s good to hear you’re doing better! And once again such lovely photos
I LOVE that comic! Thanks for the laugh 🙂
Neat pictures, Colin 🙂
Thanks for sharing Colin’s pictures, it is awesome to see Richmond and the airport from the air!
