Guess what, the doxie pool party made the local news? Click here for the short article and photos. Colin and the girls are in the first photo and more.
Love the light coming thru here, August 2nd.
Both of them can hear me turn on my camera from across the room. I have missed so many photos because of that.
We have had a few days of smoke due to the Apex fire. This was on August 3rd. Overall we have been mostly smoke free this summer.
The weather finally has cooled down and we are enjoying not having to use the A/C. Hmm just had to turn the air on about 4PM, maybe for a few hours, up to 87F. Many of our windows get full sun.
I am feeling better but still am sore and tight in certain areas. Looking forward to seeing the chiropractor tomorrow. It was nice to do a four block walk yesterday but it wore me out. I am doing a good deal of sleeping, 2-3 hours in the afternoon and about 8 – 9 hours at night.
If the lone seagull isn’t hogging that tree branch then the turtles get to gather.
Another one of those special moments.
We were surprised on Sunday, August 7th when we saw this guy out there doing??? He is a new neighbour two over to the left.
Colin spoke with him and it turns out that he does not like the aquatic plants like seaweed, kelp and watercress that the geese and ducks eat floating on top of the water.
He was out there for several hours. Mostly he pulled the living plants out and threw them towards his beach. In all the years we have lived here the natural process of nature has not been an issue for us.
Yes Katie certainly did love our girls, all six of them. Caeli, June, 2006.
Colin was putting some photos together that we had of Katie and Louie from years back for Katie’s daughter. OMG I love this photo of me. I love my hair colour. Also the fact that I was thinner. Taken April 1, 2009.
Sending the photos to my hairdresser. These are our #3 and #4, Carmeh and Caeli. I am holding Caeli ( #3 ) and Gramm Katie is holding Carmeh ( # 4 ). I think that I was using steam rollers or velcro rollers in my hair!!
I have to say that this was not the blog post that I planned to write tonight.
I truly believe that Katie had a hand in this.
Colin the famous doxie handler! Contessa most definitely do your hair like this again, coming from a hairdresser I absolutely love it!
Take care glad you’re on the mend sending hugs
I sent the photos to my hairdresser and she said “I love your hair !!! Unfortunately as we go grey it takes the shine and elasticity (bounce)out of it. “ I can’t remember if I used steam rollers or velcro rollers.
I love your hair in those pictures, the curls look so soft and natural!
They do. I can’t remember if I used steamed rollers or velcro rollers.
Love that last picture of the black and white puppy!
