Now this was fun!!!
Carlie, Ciela, Colin and I were invited to the following event. However because we do not have one, never mind two hot dog costumes, we were unable to participate. Maybe I should have spent the 75.00 to buy two on Amazon?
We have two local ski hills, Big White Ski Resort and SilverStar Mountain Resort. The latter was opening a new biking trail called Chien Chaud. which translates to hot dog of course. They put out a call last week for dachshunds dressed as hot dogs. The Kelowna Dachshund Club replied to that call.
This is one of the cutest videos that I have ever seen. Only 57 seconds long but so very well done. It looked like more than more just ten doxies. Great marketing idea.
The following was taken by Heather, Shawnessey’s mom. It is a longer video taken with her iPhone and gives the concept of what was taking place. Shawnessey is the energetic black doxie either pulling on her pink leash or chasing the ball. She is a good to friend to our girls.
Lots of dog treats, including hot dogs of course, and a great videographer. Oh how I wish we had been part of it 😎 Amazing how the final video turned out so perfectly.
Colin has little energy today and his left side is swollen, the left ankle is very large. He continues to take Ibuprofen, Claritin, ice and elevate. Not much else he can do. Yes I will be purchasing the epipen in the next day or so.
Don’t you just love this first video. It certainly put a smile on our faces.

What an awesome day and great videos!
I so regret not being a part of it.
ADORABLE!!! 🙂 🙂 So much fun to watch doxies doing what they love!
I hope Colin feels better soon. Tea Tree oil with a carrier oil (like coconut) will help with the rash.
Also raw onion works as a wasp after bite, I don’t know how just that it does. 🙂
Wouldn’t help with the allergic reaction though 🙁 That’s so scary!
Thank you!
Those hot dogs are indeed adorable! What fun!
I hope Colin continues to improve. How scary to need to carry an epipen everywhere you go.
When I once got stung on the tongue by a hornet, they gave me a shot of adrenaline. I was so shaky with all that in my system. (I bit into a sandwich where the hornet was sitting.)
I can’t even get him to carry Benadryl when he goes out. Such a stubborn dude.
Very cute. I love the ears!!
Their ears are so fun to watch.
Me and Shawney missed you, Colin, and the girls! It would have been perfect if you were there too. Hopefully we get a chance to do something like this again. Hope Colin is feeling better, big hugs ??
We have missed you both as well. I feel so bad that we missed being in this video production.Thankj yo so very muck for taking the time to comment on this post.
