Twas not in the plans…..

….I very strongly decided that I was not going to get caught up in the holiday party go around…….well tonight will be my 5th night in a row and my last till my sister arrives on the 28th.  I need to rest up.  Hard to keep up with my blog with all that activity plus our daytime to do's.

We went for a short family beach walk the other morning.....twas divine!

I met my friend Maria along the way. There is a new restaurant on the beach that serves only fish. It is run by her Mexican family so she vouches for the food and clean kitchen.

It is located between the Cantina and Victor's Restaurant. Usually open about noonish except on Thursday.

Lovely bright signage.

The menu is limited to fish and shrimp. Feel free to bring your own cerveza or vino!

Back home.....

Coming up with some new Christmas decorating ideas. I hung these on the canopy beachside where they glisten in the sun.

Last year I was so precise when I hung these red and gold balls, this year it was a free for all.

It is looking Christmasy, almost like 'twas the night before Christmas'! Not too bad considering we are not into that seasonal feeling this year. I am listening to my French Christmas carols which mean the most to me and is helping me get into the spirit.

….”and all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse” !!

Thank goodness.......we finally caught Cecil the mouse 🙂

Elaine….certainly relaxing here, better than all the snow at home.

      Ena…..totally!!

      Jean…thank you and you also.

      George….will do.

Sandy…..thank you….wish you were here also. Maybe someday.

Zoe……in our defense we did have several of the other traps set but the mice got the food and never were caught. We are using both kinds of traps as mice love to eat wires in RV’s and are very bad in that respect. Last year we also used poison pellets but had a mouse die within the walls and that was awful so just traps this year. Most Rvers have traps set, one fellow’s spring trap decapitated the mouse who still was wondering around….YUCK!! No hard feelings but you also have to understand the life of an rver.

At least we don’t use poison on the ground for ant control like many do, we use vaseline and they can’t get in.

Your place is looking so lovely, I hope you all enjoy your Christmas.

  4. Too much party can certainly wear you out , take it easy and relax.

Oh, Contessa, you used a GLUE TRAP?! You know, even a regular mouse trap is more humane, as it is quick and they don’t suffer. The nature of who I am causes me to say something, so please don’t be offended, but perhaps use the other if another mouse visits you. Thank you.

Merry Christmas to you, yours and to the Isla – wish we were there……
