4 cats = sick dog = bigger mess

Thank goodness Chiquito takes care of himself. Yesterday he started taking his own bath.

Lise can take care of herself also although yesterday we had to send out a search party. She had gone for a long walk mid day along the beach without drinking water. After 90 minutes we sent a friend out on an ATV to make sure she was alright. She was, just busy communing with nature.

...another restaurant, another margarita...

She had wanted a meal on a local beach restaurant so we found the action. You could pay to have these critters sit on your shoulder.

Instead my sister just got right into the action and wove her own tales. She is really picking up the language.

Wandering back home we came upon Filomena whom I had wanted Lise to meet. I have known this beach vendor for four winters and support her as much as I can.

Lots of beach activity.

That was almost the end of our activities yesterday until Caeli decided to get sick to her stomach….big time!  A few hours later Lise found 4 cats in our yard which of course Caeli had to go out and chase.  Caeli came out from under our bougainvillea hedge eating something.  Colin mentioned he had seen her do the same thing earlier in the afternoon.  I figured whatever she ate made her ill and of course at 2:30AM she was sick all over our bed, once again.  So what did she eat?  Was it a dead mouse?  Was it something the cats had stored in our yard?  We will never know but it will not happen again.  That area of the yard has been fenced off to dogs but how are we going to keep the cats away?  There are hundreds of feral cats living around here.  Any ideas?

Very hard to teach a dog not to pick up the first thing and put in its mouth. They’re like perpetual 6 month old babies. Far too many dogs get poisoned that way. Keep a close eye on your doggies. Could very well be a mouse that had eaten poison? That would definitely cause some throw uppage, which may very well have been a good thing, in spite of the mess.
    Good luck.

Sweet Filomina! Tell her hi next time you see her. Working on booking our next trip, hopefully we can come out to the isla to buy some things from her.
