Que Pasa!
What’s been happening, well lots & lots of little things:
~My Dad has been home from hospital for almost a week and overall is doing very very well. He spends over 3 hours per day just doing physio. Good for him. They may operate on his left hip in December or January.
~My Mom made a pot of home made soup. Not exactly earth shattering but to us it is a miracle. She hasn’t been able to do anything but sit for the last 15-18 years so this is big news in our family. In fact she is learning how to use the computer. We sent them our old G5 and it is up and running with an email address even. Not sure she has figured how to open email but she can read the blog. Hi Ma!!
~We now have a running iMac with a new hard drive. We had a local techie come in and reload everything. It took at least 7 hours. Every now & then (about 20 times a day) we go…”oh, now that is lost”, “I don’t have that email address”, “I lost the quote to the client”, “all our passwords for secure sites are gone” and so on and so on. Yes George, we now have Time Machine which automatically backs up the entire computer every hour. Now we have to get something for the laptop.
~We had a bit of an early frost….way too soon.
~Colin heard from the lady we gave Cheikka to and she has a red crowned amazon on order from Europe to keep Cheikka company. Lucky bird, a friend, perhaps a boyfriend down the road.
~Carmeh was found on the lawn shaking a sparrow. We don’t think she caught it but rather found it laying on the ground after hitting a window and being dazed. The bird lives no longer but Carmeh keeps looking for it. Maybe it was time for Cheikka to move on.
~This last is tough to write about. Yesterday Colin mentioned that he thought I had aged lately and asked about the lines on my face. He suggested I get some wrinkle creme. He says his 96 year old Mom has to wrinkles at all! Actually I don’t think that my mom has many either. So if anyone knows of a miracle wrinkle creme let me know.

Looks like all is going well and everybody is good. Wrinkles never, they are the roads of experience and wisdom that show up occasionally.
For my Macbook I use a Western Digital portable hard drive, very affordable and compact.

Colin says that we need 3X more and for a mere 40.00 more we can do it locally. But thanks anyway. We will knock computer heads later in the winter.
We enjoy your web site very much. Still, the news is one sided and you don’t hear from us enough. Sorry about that.
