Snowbirds & turkey vultures
I neglected to mention that those spectacular sunset shots in yesterday’s post were taken by mi amore Colin!
So it is official, us B.C. Snowbirds will now be allowed to extend our out of province medical coverage to seven months. I can see us using that priviledge within in a few years if not sooner. Perfect for those of us who travel to Mexico, not so much to those who travel only to the USA as the number of travel days are monitored. *********NOT TRUE…..I MADE AN ERROR….SEE THE COMMENTS BELOW!

Seeing as the shrimp boats were catching yesterday I decided to prepare shrimp for dinner as I would soon have more shrimp to buy.
I never did get a photo as it happened all too quickly, but we had a wee fire while I was cooking. I didn’t want to open a new bottle of wine just to saute the shrimp in so I used olive oil, garlic and Controy as it is called in Mexico. Somehow I had a small fire in the frypan that soon burnt itself out. For a moment I was stunned but got control quickly. I do have to say what a great way to saute shrimp. Very yummy indeed. Just be cautious.

Not a done deal yet, mi amiga! The legislation is proposed but is not yet passed and written into Law. It still could die on the Order Papers. The lady has not yet sung and we have to go home in April!
You are right Croft…..I jumped the gun! Thanks for putting me straight.
Glad the fire was quickly out. The sunset was lovely; the turkey vulture not so much. We have them here and they are pretty ugly up close. Keep a close eye on the babies when the vultures are around.
Longdog…the fire was scary to be honest. I have not been concerned about the girls and vultures. They usually fly off as soon as the dogs go down the beach.
George….me too.
Hopefully the BC legislation will be passed before next fall so then you will all be good to go.
