Getting back into the swing of things

No not jiving, not yet anyway.  I love to jive and Colin and I use to do a great job of it.  I have come to terms with the hip surgery.  I just hope that this is the last of my pain for many years to come.

I went in for my vein injections yesterday but the Dr. would not do them.  She wanted me off my antihistamine  meds and hive free.  Fifty kms each way, a waste of the morning!  Seeing as it has been a week since the last treatments I can go stocking free until next Tuesday.  That is a bonus.

Back home Colin started gathering all his equipment for his first photo shoot.  He wouldn’t be back till after dark so I made him sandwiches and snacks to go.  After he left I busied myself sending out invoices about the work done by our assistant over the winter, filing, paying bills, the usual stuff.  Certainly a different day than we have on the Isla.  But is does make our time on the Isla possible.

After an hour of pacing Carmeh finally took a nap at the front door.

Where is my Dad? She jumped up on that stool each time she heard a noise or a vehicle pass.

In our old house the girls had a window seat to sit on and sleep on.  It faced the street so they could see all who passed.  In this new house our living room faces the lake and our bedroom is street side.  The girls haven’t been using the lake window seat at all.

Caeli spent part of the day sleeping on the floor between the front ( street side ) of the house and our bed.

Carmeh finally feel asleep on her wee stool that we put there so she could see outside.

I worked till about 6PM, fed the girls, had a glass of wine and started to relax. Carmeh moved to her position on the sofa so she could still see outside. We had created a higher area with pillows and blankets so she could still see outside. She ran to the window each and every time she heard a noise.

I wasn't missing Colin, this was my first time alone in the house since we have returned. I got to eat dinner in front of the TV and watch the ducks swim past during our rain shower.

This girl really misses her Dad!

Colin came home, she was happy, and I went to bed.  Colin stayed up working on photoshop.  Things are back to normal.

Send some of that rain my way, will you? Stan mowed yesterday but it mostly just sent up a cloud of dust. I love watching the rain.
