Quail in the house
Colin was out walking the girls and I was on the phone when I screamed. Out of the corner of my eye I saw something large and dark dart between the white sofa and our teal lounge chairs. I screamed loud enough that the neigbour heard me and Colin rushed the last 1/2 block home. I continued with my phone conversation ( I had been on hold a long time and did not want to go thru that again ) with my heart racing while Colin cornered the critter.
Then it began trying to get out, banging on the window, then a poop here and a poop there and a few flights up to the ceiling and back down, more poop. Okay little one, time for you to go. I am still on the phone. Meanwhile Caeli has decided to catch the quail who was now walking along the floor.
Colin released the bird and it took off right through our cedar hedge. Caeli of course followed, even though we have the hedge blocked off.. She found a hole to get through, actually I think she can get out of anywhere if she really wants to and she wanted to get that quail. The quail got away and Caeli spent the next hour sniffing every corner of the yard and house before resuming her normal pose which is sleeping.
Anyone have any tips for drying king size sheets? We love our new king bed but each time I dry the sheets after washing them they come out damp, even after 50 minutes in the dryer. Yesterday I ended up drying them separately. Any better ideas out there????? What am I doing wrong?

We have had a king size bed for at least 10 years now and I have never had a problem drying the sheets. Have you tried hanging them on a clothes line?
Jannose…..we are not allowed to have an outdoor clothes line. We live in and RV park, not an acreage like you. However I might find a awy to string up a line as our lot is so private.
Rod….I really think it thought we would not see it.
It sure looked like it wanted to be another ornament!
Lay them out on the lawn, and pray that no bird will crap on them, and that the doxies won’t walk on them!
Peter…..cute!! Actually I had a friend end of with bird mess all over her fresh laundry that she had washed by hand.
George….very occasionally I think.
Croft….now there is an idea. Gracias.
Nice to have some wildlife drop in for a visit occasionally.
You could probably get away with an hour or two in the sun on a temporary line. If not, we have laid sheets loosely over the top of the bed with windows open for that final dry.
THROW IN A TOWEL AS IT WILL ABSORB THE MOISTURE AND/OR THOSE CLUNKY DRYER BALLS YOU CAN BUY AT THE DOLLAR STORE.
Hey Arizona….I totally forgot about the towel..perfect idea.
