Totally worn out!

We did go to a fabulous concert last night and that along with todays activities have left me with no stamina.  I hope to post about the concert tomorrow.

I am only 6 weeks post op and seem to have little or no energy and today some pain.  I am no longer on any meds and am just pushing thru.  I do have to say that Colin treated me to a Dairy Queen soft ice cream cone last night.  I felt like we were out on a big date night.

Thanks for all of your comments re my bad hair day.  I am becoming more and more upset.  Hey I am a blonde not a dark ash grey girl. I never did show you my face with the dark hair, really it is just not me.  I put my hair up this morning and all I see is very very dark hair.  Hmm, do you think we might have to head south sooner?  I am willing but not my guy….too much work to do first.

Today we just had to do errands, in and out of this store and that one.  By the last one I was limping badly.  Have to say I was extremely disappointed to see both a 5th wheel and a long trailer sitting in the the Walmart parking without any tow vehicle nearby.  They had been dropped and set up on their jacks.  Not nice to see, most especially as we only have the one Walmart here in Kelowna and there is barely enough parking space for us shoppers.  I don’t mind RVers overnighting  in a Walmart ( we even do it in the US ) but not at 3PM and to just leave your rig unattended…..no way!  I can see an RV restriction coming soon to our  town 🙁

We are in the midst of a severe thunder storm warning and the girls are hiding out.  No rain, just lots of noise.  Sure hope there were not too many lightening strikes.

One of the things we were shopping for today was a wasp catcher.  Those critters are creating all kinds of problems. Rod went shopping the other day and made some progress getting rid of them.

This is Rod's photo and what he has been using. In fact 2 of our neighbors have the same wasp catcher.

So Colin and I went to three stores today and they are all sold out of any type of wasp catcher.  Too bad we never invented something like this.

Have a great Saturday night and I will catch up with you tomorrow.

If you do some searching you’ll probably be able to find some plans online for home made traps. They are usually a 600-750 ml clear water bottle with the top cut off and taped back onto the bottom of the container upsde down. Half fill the container with the apple juice, sugar and soap mixture, and you’re done.
It’s worth a try at least.

I e-mailed you a Pinterest link with a good wasp trap, but it occurs to me if you’re not on Pinterest you may not be able to open it. I’ll find the link and send it to you regular e-mail.

You can make your own wasp trap.just take a 2litre pop bottle cut the top off about a third down invert it inside its self and tape it with clear tape to keek it together .put a hole on either side to attach a string through to hang up. I generally add some coke or any other pop will do.you can also spray the outside of the trap yellow to attract them.it really works and will save you some money and running around trying to find one.who knows maybe you can make some and sell them.lol.

  4. So nice that you got out to enjoy the concert, and a soft ice cream.
I think I would try the homemade wasp catcher first looks like it should work great.
