Massage Monday

Ahh the bliss of it all. 90 minutes of  relaxation.

Casa Maria is back in Mazatlan and on the Isla for my weekly Monday morning ritual.

It just can’t get any better than that.  While I have my shower and wash my hair Colin gets a 60 minute massage.  Just one of the reasons we come here and travel with our own massage table.  Maria is a RMT, a registered massage therapist from Canada.  Yes she is the same person I saw in Edmonton when I went to see my Dad.  She mostly works in Mazatlan where her home and office are but she moonlights on the Isla on Mondays.  Lucky me.

We were good and took our long walk on the beach first so we had the rest of the day to just sit and relax.  Somehow one never just sits, the water truck comes or the veggie guy or someone drops by for a visit.  The day passes before you know it.

First time I have seen a barnacled piece of driftwood on the beach.

We have been working very hard on completing our garden and it is looking good.

Just a bit past it's prime, my first white hibiscus.

Yellow is a new color to my garden this year. I was so desperate for plants that I was not so fussy as to what I able to plant.

This is going to be one of my favorites. This is called a double hibiscus as is the white one. Their flowers are more full that the traditional single hibiscus as shown in the photo above with the yellow hibiscus. I like them all.

The day passes so quickly. Up very early and walking by 7AM, a bit of a cleanup of the yard, feeding the dogs, have a coffee, check emails, make sure all is well with our business, cut up some fruit, read a bit or play the guitar, lunch, work on the blog water the garden, another walk, sunset, dinner and bed.  I seem to be petered out by 9:00PM.  The heat is still wearing me out.  I haven’t made the last few end of the day walks, just too pooped, hmm, maybe it’s the wine. Actually it is the exercise, first time in close to three years.  So happy to be here and feeling better.
