Because of the various storms the ocean came right into the RV Park and just sat for weeks. Eventually the owner had to arrange to have the wall broken open every so many feet to drain the water. Meanwhile everything was saturated with salt water.
I started by filling a pail with scoop after scoop of salty soil. I soon realized that it would take me a very long time especially with the heat.
Ishmael with his pick axe made quick work of removing the old soil. He then put the new soil I ordered which is under the blue tarp in place for me. It took him less than an hour to do the entire project.
Then it was my job was to plant my flower seeds.
The seeds germinated after just 2 days and here they are at 6 days.
Meanwhile Ishamel removed all my old half dead plants and planted new palmas and hibiscus for me.
I am so lucky that he is willing to do things for us after his shift or on his day off. You have seen some of my new blooms over the past few days.
Meanwhile Colin and the girls were doing some digging of their own. So far no crabs.
Another great dinner on our new Weber, veggie smokies.
John, our neighbour got a shot of me shooting the sunset.

Looks like you’re getting a lot done! It’s all going to look so pretty.
Teri…it is coming together slowly and then I can just sit back and enjoy the garden.
Connie….gracias, I have so much more energy this year.
Joan…..we eat well but the Caesar is a bit of cheat. I use bottled dressing and usually on my half I use mostly no fat dressing plus a bit of Colin’s regular dressing to beef up the taste and of course we use parmesan on top.
Danshula…we will and look forward to your return to the US next year.
George….only get’s better when I sit with a book and a glass of vino.
Marty….so have you booked yet?
Now that’s what I’m talking about – that’s our Contessa – way to go and looking good!!!
Okay, that’s enough of me looking at those gorgeous pictures of your dinners. We are also doing weight watchers and I would love your Caesar Salad recipe, it looks so good. So do you.
Have a great winter in your “hot” location and thank you for interest in my blog.
Just enjoying another fun day in the sun, playing in the garden, gotta love it!
It is 0° F here. I really need a Mazatlan fix!
