    In Mexico we call them quintas, fincas, or casa de campo.

    Well Contessa…..I think we call them our “RVs”, lol, but then that could be our winter homes too.

    Camps, cabins, place on the River, many different names – that is if you are lucky enough to have a summer or second home.

    All true. I’d like to add to that though, that my sister-in-law and hubby just bought a place in Wasaga Beach not that long ago, and they’ve been referring to it as, “The Situation”. Not sure if that one should go on your list or not.

    We have a cabin which is only four miles away from our home in PA but it’s nice to go to when wanting peace and quiet. Now for the next three months we are at our beachhouse or cottage in DE for the summer.

  6. Always interesting how people name their getaway place for a change of pace. We just move our house on wheels to different locations, for a change of scenery as the spirit moves us. It is an Rv as you know.
