UPDATES

~hey Barbara, no we have not yet discovered Caeli’s escape route.  Colin left the next day so I hope to work on it this weekend. It takes two of us, one to call her out of the yard and the other to observe.

~sorry Croft but I had no idea that I even had spellcheck on my comments, I will look into it or maybe not  😕

~finally Colin is on his way home.  He did stay to see the 2 cruise ships leave today and get the key shot he needed.

This is the one he was waiting for. It was supposed to leave at 4:30 PM today but left closer to 6:00PM. The internet is great, I was able to watch the cruise ship ( Island Princess ) from a Port of Vancouver webcam. At one point I actually saw Colin's helicopter. Pretty amazing, (you can see me in the photo) . Anyway he called and told me he got an amazing shot.

A very poor webcam from the North Shore but I managed to see the Volendam leave on time. You can barely make out the Island Princess on the left.

~Colin should be back by 10:30 PM.  However he has no time to rest as he has 2 jobs tomorrow and he has aerials here in Kelowna Friday based on weather.  Hopefully we have time for a quick hello but I know it will be more of a crisis management situation, dealing with calls and emails that need to be resolved pronto.  Gas here is 143.9 and in Vancouver it was 152.9. Crazy.

~Katie & Louie, thanks for taking care of my sweetie last night.

~I was able to make an appointment today to see my eye doctor on Friday morning, pretty good service I think.  Hope to get more solutions to the problem now that I can link it to the computer.

~it was so hot & muggy that I turned the A/C on for the first time this year.  I did run it for 11 hours.  We actually had highs of 32C today.  It was too uncomfortable to work inside without cooling things down.

~about 6:30PM the weather changed.  Actually we have what I call a white out all day.  Just a white sky and heat. No blue sky at all.

A thunder storm was brewing and let loose with a vengeance.

A good deal of thunder and lightening for over 2 hours. The girls assumed their normal positions, Caeli between the bed and my night table and Carmeh behind the toilet. Bad Mom that I am, I totally forgot about the Thunder Shirt we have for Carmeh. FInally just over 2 hours later the noise stopped and the girls finally ate their dinner at 8:30PM.

~I have pretty much caught up on my to do list so I am ready for whatever our business throws my way.

~poor Mazatlan is being inundated with heavy rains from Tropical Storm Elida.

Yes lots of rain ( 80 mm ) but a .......

...welcome relief from the extreme temperatures of over 35C plus humidity these past few weeks.

That’s it for today…just can’t do anymore with my eye as it is.
